After last week's dismal episodes, I sent this as feedback to Zee:
"I have been enjoying Jodha Akhbar ever since it started. It stood out to me as an unconventional show in the midst of redundant desi serials. The amazing passion between Jodha and Jalal has had me, as well as many others, hooked.
My issue now is how the tracks are being handled. After the tiger attack, there was no closure provided. We didn't see a proper conversation between Jodha/Jalal in regards to the attack. We didn't see the promo that was aired, with Jodha nursing Jalal. That promo alone could have tied up the track for me but it was never shown.
Right now, the current "romance" track is feeling very fake and forced. There is none of the passion I had previously sensed. The track is filled with illogical and cliched attempts to show the budding romance between Jodha and Jalal, but I don't see how that's necessary! I request for the CVs to look at how they handled past scenes: the Dargah scene, swordfight, the aarti scene. These were so beautifully portrayed and the delicate emotions were so well balanced.These scenes did not have to resort to any cheesy romance sequences.
I request you to please continue with the story the way it was going.The episodes after the tiger attack feel like they belong to a completely different Jodha-Akbar. I urge you to reconsider future episodes, and I really wish to see well written episodes, with minimum plot holes, and plenty of logic.You guys have done a great job so far; I wish you could just continue the wondrous storyline in the same fashion that you started it. Now I don't know if my words were actually relayed to the production team, but I hope they were and I hope they read our comments on Lashy's letter to the CVs. In any case, I've definitely been enjoying this week's episodes, and I hope they continue to provide high quality entertainment!
