My point is -
What is a marriage. It is accepting another person from another family and including them in your own. And the sagai to Shadi is the time the prospective new family member has - to get used to the idea of going into another family as a member and getting to know about their ways a little better so that adjustment is easier.
Pretty much like applying for a citizenship to a new country. you apply and then you wait for your passport. But in the emantime - if you are found to have indulged in anti-patriotic activities - the process can stop - summarily.
Maybe I'm being a little dramatic - but Jagya realizing this person is not just not respectful of his family but also has plans to remove even him from his family - made him think - maybe this is a really really bad call. This person is just not looking like a desirable addition as a wife or as a new family member. Simple !
But yes - the court shud focus on whether they think Sanchi has sufficient grounds to prove Jagya pushed her to the brink.
Also - Sanchi's psychiatric evaluation will be a must for the court to see whether she is in fact at all stable.
