Immigrants to the West that HATE the West - Page 3

i had no clue when i posted in this thread back in april.. luckily, i still feel the same way, so not adding a comment, just bumping.

An example being Taslima Nasreen......who was exiled from Bangladesh and a fatwa taken out on her.....she fled to the West). Now a person who has taken asylum in another country, they obviously would have terrible living conditions in their own land . They take shelter else where. Shouldn't they be gratrefull to the Country that gave them shelter ?

What i am trying to say is why hate the country where you have built your life ?( Unless you are being held against your will there.....like a prisoner)
Isn't that wrong? Or do you have a justification to this behaviour???

They should take a flight ticket and get out from there..... that way the burden on the economy will lessen slightly.... 😡

Let us face it people who migrate to US or Europe are meterialistic - and I do not mean it in a derogatory way. Somehow they wish to deny the fact that they came to US in quest of Cars, Electronics, Air conditioned homes and a lifestyle they have seen only on screen back home. No one comes to West for spiritual upliftment. I guess the only way to enjoy these things without letting everyone else know that tey are enjoying it is to comdamn it. Another thing is just plain envy. Even after coming here because of social and ethnic codes, Desis cannot enjoy what the firangis do. Morality jelousy with a halo.

I have seen people whining about this being morally bankrupt country and evil and ungodly country - and living here for decades. I am sure neither Reagan nor Bush nor Clinton wrote them personally to come and stay here. Only one couple with greencard have I seen going back home - they returned within two years because the condition back home was too opressive for the wife.

Actually all these guys mean is they are here to make money fine.. but they hardly expect to be subjeced to morbid exhibition and moral degradation... I mean why would you call it jealousy??? Jealousy!!!... I think the people who try to act as a part of the main-stream look more ridiculous....like those who have their hands smeared in daal/Sambar/... and then look for a paper napkin.. give me a break and go and wash your hands and mouth... paper napkins are for more or less dry lunch...

Because there is lot of freedom. You can speak your mind and most of the times people hear you too😉. Now isn't it easier to just stick around in a safer place and comment about all the evil things happening in this world😃?

Yes Maya...there is only one Dr AS.... miss him....😭

But this great country always had pockets of ethinic communities that don't quiet "blend" into mainstream. Hasidic Jewish neighbourhood in Brooklyn, Chinatowns in every major city, liittle Italy and now Little India's on both coasts...

Which means you can have your cake and eat it too...and that is why we don't see many ppl going back..😃

I still stick to my views. It is lot easier to sit in a safer place preaching our native country's traditions and culture because this country gives you freedom. If people hated westernization so much they would have long back gone to their native place to embrace the real culture.

Agree with you..... show some respect for the country tht has made u wht u are... Even if tht country is not ur native country...
This applies even to those refugees who seek shelter in larger countries like India but have no feelings of patriotism or respect for the country tht gave them shelter... Thts sheer hypocrisy!!!
