Can any of today's ACTRESSES play a TAWAIF/DANCER?!!!

😲 I miss the Umrao Jaan/Devdas kind of roles which Aish and Madhuri did. When was the last time someone played a good TAWAIF/DANCER?! God forbid, if a director made a lavish movie again with this theme, I would love to see someone from this generation do it. But, do we have anyone who has amazing dancing skills?! Sadly no! Maybe Deepika. But I doubt she can carry it off. Anuskha, Parineeti, Sonam all of them don't have the grace of dancing and making it look grand. Can any of today's ACTRESSES play a TAWAIF/DANCER?!!! Please share your thoughts.

Dancer. Nope. No one sadly has that grace, which sucks b/c BW could use that.

Sonakshi def has the look of a classic BW actress but she's not a dancer.

Deepika is a decent dancer but she's not the msot graceful.

Katrina can dance but it's mostly item songs and hip hop. I have yet to see her do a full on mujra, kathak, bhartnatyam or any classical number.

There are some fine good dancers like Mukti, isha, etc. but they don't get those parts.

I guess those type of musical films are becoming more modern and tehre's more Latin or Hip Hop numbers. It's fine b/c it works but I do miss the days of Sri Devi, Madhuri, Aishu, etc and the classical dances.

I think with time, BW may transition back.

Kangana can't dance and Kareena's Mujra in AV was awful.

Vidya is someone who I can definitely see rock any role she takes on. I am not sure if she's the most graceful dancer tho.

Nobody makes Tawaif films anymore. If Vidya loses some extra weight she might be a good option.
