Newcomer Ranjeet Singh roped in as the negative lead

Zee TV's Pavitra Rishta, produced by Balaji Telefilms has topped the headlines over the past week for its interesting mix of cast added in for the post leap story line. As we know, the popular show is up for a 20 years leap post which Ankita Lokhande will get to play a dual role, that of Archana and her granddaughter Kavya.

Earlier in the day, we broke the news of Manish Naggdev essaying the best friend of Kavya. We now hear that Ekta Kapoor has roped in a fresh face Ranjeet Singh who is a popular model and aspiring actor as the negative lead Rishi. He will play Sheeba Chaddha's younger son; Karan Mehra's character will be his elder brother.

When contacted, Ranjeet Singh told us, "Well, I am in talks right now. I will be able to talk to you only after I get a confirmation."
