Part 19

Shlok suddenly got tensed by seeing the lady he last saw so many years back.. he got up wanted to leave.. but then how could he leave someone hurt on the street and go away..

She was uncncious.. he carried her and took her to a hospital..

Shlok was waiting outside till the doctors came out to talk to him..

"Mr.Agnihotri, the lady u brought here is alright..she is unconscious now but she will be back to senses soon.. but the problem is that she is very weak.. seems like she hasn't eaten properly for weeks.. but good rest and food will improve her health" the doctor says

Shlok nods his head.. and goes near his mother... he starts to remember what all had happened many years back.. his mothers words when she left them and went away..

" I need to find her family and send her with them.. or inform them"

Shlok starts to search her bag.. there seems to be nothing in her bag.. some bad clothes .. he keeps looking and finds a small pouch.. as he opens the pouch he finds some pictures..his childhood pictures and some money ..

He takes the pictures and looks at them and tears roll down his eyes.. they were pictures of his childhood with his mother.. when he searches more he finds an envelope.. it has a letter from some ashram..

He leaves the room with that envelope..

He goes out and makes a call on that number and some lady picks up the phone..

" hello, I would like to speak to some admin person of this ashram" shlok asks

" yes I am the main head here how can I help u?' that lady says

" yes.. one lady who belongs to ur asram has met with an accident.. her name is sarita agnihotri. She is newfort hospital.. kindly come and take her with u" shlok says

" oh Sarita ji.. but she left our ashram with her own will.. she has been living here for almost 15 years now.. she wanted to find her son so she left the ashram and went.." the lady says

Shlok seems shocked " no I think u have mistaken.. she has a husband.. I think 15 years back she was married to someone.. do u have her family's number?"

" no sir.. she has no family.. she was divorced and separated from her son and husband and since then she lived with us" the lady on the phone says " but don't worry sir I will have someone come there and pick her up and bring her here.. poor her I think she has no luck of uniting with her son.. please give us the address sir and we will do the needful"

Shlok gives the address but is worried and keeps thinking about what the lady told him..

Shlok stays back the hospital whole night

Its morning and a nurse comes to him " Mr.Agnihotri , the lady u had brought last night has regained conciousness.. u can meet her"

He wakes up and thinks what to do.. then slowly he walks up to his mom.. and says " are u ok?"

She smiles and says "thank u my son..u brought me to this hospital and got me treated. I don't want to die before seeing my son" she says and smiles with a tear..

"where is son?" shlok enquires

" he is in this city itself.. give me my bag I will show u his pictures.. she takes her bag and shows him his childhood pictures.. this is my son shlok.. I haven't seen him for 15 years now.. by now he must be a real grown up boy.. may be as old as u... u seem to be from a good family.. please help me search him.. I know its not ur job but still incase u know him or know anyone from this name"

Shlok turns back avoiding to look into his mothers eyes and says" alright.. I wil help u.. u take rest for now"

He walks out and thinks what to do.. then calls up his manager

He takes his mother to a house and tells her " u can stay here till u want.. u can find ur son.. whatever u need is available here.."

She smiles and says " why are u doing all this for me son? U dint even tell me ur name..god bless u my son.. ur parents must be very good at heart to have taught u to help others"

Shlok nods and quietly walks away..

Shlok reaches home and sees his father sitting there

NA asks shlok.. " what happened shlok.. where were u all night? Wats ur condition"

Shlok says " dad I need to tell u something.." shlok looks at his father in tears

NA is surprised as to what happened to him..

Shlok tells NA about everything that happened last night and also about meeting his mom..

NA is shocked and says " y did u help her shlok.. she died for us many years back.. and now she has no relation what so ever.. u will not talk to her and go back to her"

"I know dad.. frankly even I dint want to talk to her.. but she is in very bad condition and I couldn't just leave her and come that way.. atleast ineed to pay back for her as she gave birth to me" shlok says.."don't worry dad she doesn't know that I am her son.. once she is fine I will send her away with her ashram people.."

Suddenly shlok turns back to his dad " u know dad.. she never married anyone else.. she doesn't even have any other family.. she was in some ashram for so many years.. its strange"

NA is angry " u don't know anything about ur mom shlok.. she was a very characterless woman.. if she has struggled all her life then she deserved it for cheating her husband and son.. I don't want u to meet her and entertain her.. call that ashram people or whatever and get rid of her soon"

Shlok doesn't like what his father says but still nods his head and walks away

NA and anjali in the room talking..

" I hope she doesn't open her mouth in front of shlok.. all that u have kept a secret for so many years will be out and I don't think shlok will support u" anjali says worried

" I know anjali.. I need to do something and fix her up soon.. she can be a big threat.. just now we have got rid of astha and now this lady.. don't worry tonight I will myself do the needful" NA is very angry

Shlok keeps thinking of his fathers words and decides not to meet her again..

Its late night and its raining heavily.. Sarita is sitting in the house that shlok had asked her to stay in.. suddenly there is a power cut

She gets up to search for some candles.. suddenly she feels the presence of someone.." oh son.. is that u? I am just looking for some candles.." she turns back to see someone else with a knife their hand..

She gets scared and says " whos that?what do u want?" she says and slowly starts to move back...

To her shock she sees his face.. its none other than her long left husband.. Niranjan Agnihotri.. " you !!! how do u know that I am living here? What do u want from me.. whatever u wanted to do u have done 15 years back.. just leave me alone now"

NA says in anger " why have u returned to this city? Y do u want to meet ur son? There is no need to meet him.. just leave or else u have to leave this life and visit god soon"

"Wow Mr.Niranjan Agnihotri.. I went away many years back because I was scared for my child.. I dint want trouble for him.. but now he must have grown up and will have the sense of understanding things.. he needs to know what kind of a sick guy u are.. the father her trusts the most and worships as god is actually the biggest evil.."

NA hold her neck and pushes her down " its over sarita.. I let u be alive that time but now u need to die.. my son will never know anything"

He takes the knife and gives a strong blow to her body..

But then a hand grabs NA's hand and stops the knife from piercing through srita's body..

NA raises his eyes to see SHLOK...

Shlok is in tears and pushes his father aside.. " how dare u dad.. I dint expect this from u"

Suddenly sarita is shocked and stands up Shlok.. u are shlok?"

NA starts saying " don't trust this woman shlok.. she has no right tolive.. she betrayed all of us.. and now she has come here to take u away from me.. trust me son" and hugs shlok

Shlok pushes him " I heard ur conversation dad.. tell me dad what is it I don't ever need to know.."

Suddenly one lady speaks up " I will tell u shlok what u need to know"

The lady is sarita's friend from the ashram.. she actually came to take sarita

" ur father is a sick man.. all his life he has ran all kinds of illegal business under the name of agnihotri institutions.. one of his main business is prostitution.. Cheating poor girls who study in ur college and then black mailing them to do sex trade.. ur mother always knew his sick side.. 15 years back she was scared for ur life.. he had threatedned her that if she would open her mouth to the cops he will have u killed.. she kept quiet and had to bear the brunt"

Shlok gets the biggest shock of his life.. suddenly he remembers what all astha had ever told him about his father,,

He remembers the case that was put on his father by astha

" ur mother was innocent.. she did not betray anyone.. ur father in return for ur life asked her to leave u and go.. he proved her characterless in the court and seeked divorce and based on that even got ur legal custody.. all these years she lived in a scare.. but now its time u know the truth"

Shlok looks at his mother.. "is this true mom?" he is teary eyed

His mom nods her head " yes..."

"no this is not true.. both these women are building up stories to make u against me son.. u trust ur dad right" NA is tensed

" ok dad if u are saying the truth.. then why are u here? And y are u holding this knife and trying to stab mom?"

Na is taken aback and he doesn't have any thing to say.. Suddenly shlok says " ok dad I trust you.. I love u dad,..so whatever they said if its true .. I mean ifu are doing all these illegal businesses underneath I will support u and handle the business with u dad.. after all I am ur favorite son"

Shlok smiles and hugs NA

NA is suddenly happy.. " yes son.. u are my favorite.. Varad always stands by me but I was scared that if u know everything then u will not support me.. but I am glad.. yes its true whatever they said.. and now u r with me there is nothing to be scared about"

Na hugs shlok and turns back to sarita and the other lady and says see dint I tell u my son loves me the most.. even ur truth couldn't shake out love and bond.. so u have nothing left to do here.. so get lost"

Suddenly Shlok holds his father and gives one hard hit on his face...

Na is taken aback

" I cant believe this dad.. the person I regarded as god in my life is actually an evil.. I trusted u so much.. I dint believe astha.. I dint believe anyone.. u know dad I hate u.. and I hate myself cos I proved to be ur son.. I proved that its ur genes which is in me.."

Shlok holds NA's collar and drags him into the car and takes him to the police station

NA and Varad are jailed and the next days newspaper lashes out

" Education Giant behind bars for sex trade" etc etc..

Shlok is sitting in his hall and reading the news paper... and all that's written and looks at the tv and the news flashing about agnihotri institutions all over in all channels..

He just shuts everything and tells the servants that he doesn't want to see anybody.. he locks himself in his room and starts drinking

He starts remembering all that happened.. the trust he had on his dad..all the good times he shared wit him and then the evil side he saw the day before... And everything that sarita's friend told him about his dad.. he drinks a lot and in tears .. suddenly he vents out all his anger on the things in his room.. he starts breaking the furniture and glass.. there is picture of him and NA on the wall. He takes that and goes out to the sit out and starts breaking it and stamps it from his feet

His mother sees him doing all this.. she suddenly comes and stops him.. "Shlok control yourself.. what are u doing?". She is tensed

" please leave me alone mom.. I need to deal with everything alone" shlok says

"no my son.. y are u punishing yourself.. u did not do anything wrong.. wrong was only Niranjan Agnihotri.. and he is learning lesson now in jail.. u were ignorant of his deeds so y feel guilty.. but now that u have done the right thing u must not feel guilty"

Shlok tearfully says " u don't know mom.. I probably did the worst too.. I hate myself for being Niranjan Agnihotri's son.. I proved to be just like him.. a complete jerk.. a very bad guy.."

Sarita is confused.. " what did u do shlok?"

Shlok in tears looks at sarita " exactly the same thing that father did to u.."

Sarita looks shocked

" I broke her heart.. I broke her completely.. she was always telling me the truth.. but I never trusted her.. I was blinded by my love to dad and devastated the person who I loved the most.. I broke the trust and revenged the girl who loved me the most.. and now... I cannot even go back to her.. I have even lost my chance to even apologise to her.. a guilt that I have to live forever.." shlok breaks down and says

"Who is that Shlok" sarita inquires

"ASTHA" Shlok softly takes her name..

Oh God.. Now I feel bad for Shlok! He finally got to know the truth.. And he is repenting... But will Astha get back so easily? I doubt.. Atleast now he has his mom for support...
