Disclaimer: Hola yaaro <3 I have a few thoughts about today's episode. I welcome difference of opinion as always, and I love to debate - but let's be polite and civil okay? :) With that said, these are purely my thoughts on the episode today. :)
They played Saiyaara today - and it actually was tear-jerking ... One of my future goals sometime this month is to examine how each song lyric the CVs choose brilliantly match and foreshadow Asad & Zoya's journey as lovers. It truly is mesmerizingly brilliant symbolism.
But back to the episode at hand. Saiyaara's lyrics are so evocative of the situation.
tum pe miti, tum se bani,
tum se hua hai haan khud pe yakeen
tu jo nahi to na sahi,
main hoon yahan to
tu hai yahin kahin..
The girl's lyrics do represent Zoya in every way. Zoya is sacrificed on Asad indeed - and they are in all ways a part of each other. For him and his family's happiness, she has routinely sacrificed her priorities - sacrificing time and time again the goal finding her abu and marrying him, the love of her life. And now, she is in her most vulnerable state, relying on Asad as her protector, and as I have always said, their love comes from the spirit as well - As the lyrics say, wherever she is, she knows Asad is there with her in some way.
The Mahasangam is coming up tomorrow. The 7 Day promise will not be fulfilled. Zoya is not leaving the SM anytime soon due to Ayaan - and thus Asad's dreams and plans will be temporarily crushed as well. The Forum32's recent photo release of an AsYa dance is yet another dream sequence - maybe from his side or from Zoe's - when she's anxiously awaiting sadly to reunite with her Mr.Khan. It looks beautiful and is another visual treat with this magical couple though - ah! If only it was a true sequence :'). But we'll leave my fangirling for another time. :P
The guy's lyrics in Saiyaara will definitely symbolize Asad's feelings after the Mahasangam.
aasmaan, tera mera hua
khwaab ki tarah dhuaan dhuaan
aasmaan, tera mera hua
saans ki tarah ruaan ruaan
jaaye jahan tu jaye
paaye mujhe hi paaye
saaye ye mere hain tujh mein samaaye
Saiyyara main saiyaara
sayyara tu saiyyara
Sitaron ke jahan mein milenge ab yaara
Their sky, their world, has become smoke indeed, temporarily, and the life they envisioned is being again for a time, taken away from them. And again, they are always a part of each other - their shadows are forever in each other, as the song states. And the hope for a reunion is left in the man's parting line - Sitaron ke jahan mein milenge ab yaara - We will meet in a world of stars - and the whole fandom will wait for that blissful moment. It's well worth the wait - The Abu reveal and Zainab's answer for justice will only be done through Ayaan extending Zoya's stay. The star - crossed reunion of the lovers will only happen after the SM's mysteries have been explored - and it will happen, which is what the CVs might be hinting towards.
Regarding the others in the episode:
a) Farhan gets shadier by the day. We all really need to know now what he's up to. Hasina Bi. Tsk Tsk. And Nikhat deserves far better, sigh. When will bewakouf Shireen realize how much she is making her daughter suffer with these two? Ah well. My hope of Najma and Nikhat teaming up to destroy their crass MIL may come true now :), and for that, FarNik must happen, I guess.
b) AyRa are cute - and their scene re-emphasizesto those who are worried that both couples will stay strong in this extended period of MaBurt.
c) BB slightly re-demeed herself in my eyes - but I want BB to realize that petty revenge does not call for making two people go through a loveless marriage. I need more of her blessings :P
And with the promo for tomorrow, guess we're all ready for another heart-breaking, yet emotion-filled Maha episode! My Zoya bb looks beautiful <3
