why cant this husband-wife stay away?

I am angry at Ovi

I understand if purvi is shocked and upset that arjun didn't tell her, and then finding him walking around with his ex and baby while claiming that he's in a meeting. What I don't understand is how she can be so shocked that he IS the father! She then tries to confirm same with a doctor, nurse then onir. When she did finally get her hands on the file she was shocked. But why? Do the math lady. Once the doctor or nurse had told her that the baby is premature and belongs to Ovi it was pretty obvious from then on, the doctor gave her a full timeline! 7 months pregnant, 2 months incubator, 2 days at home. Who else would Ovi had slept with other than the guy who was her then husband?

Theres a thing called denial when faced with a difficult situation.

Purvi knew who the father was. She just had to make sure because she was in denial. Like remember when Ovi was going crazy initially when she learned about Arvi and refused to accept it? It was denial. There are different stages of grief etc when facing with a life-changing event or a loss of a loved one especially in cases of death.

I'm suprised Ovi's drinking problems were justifed as a response to depression and her neglecting husband but Purvi expressing shock over a problem and trying to be sure before she explodes is "freaking out" or "cant do the math"

Humans are complicated.

It's true that Arjun is an idiot for telling Purvi he was in a meeting. Why lie to her? Purvi naturally feels insecure, so I can't blame her for that. If I were her, I'd be pissed that my husband is lying to me too. Fine. But when the doctor told her the age of the baby, she should really be able to do the math. I know it's shocking and unexpected but really, she's acting as if ArOvi conceived that baby after Arjun had committed to Purvi or something. Obviously the baby would be Arjun's.

I thought Purvi knew Ovi by now... she should know that Ovi only let one man enter her life, and eight - nine months ago, whenever this baby was conceived, she was still married to Arjun. So Purvi indirectly (or directly) thought that Ovi cheated on Arjun. Does she not know the kind of person Ovi is? Ovi is by no means a cheater, she actually tried very hard in her relationship, and I thought Purvi knew that.

Purvi disappointed me more than ever today. I mean, I understand it's sudden and all, but what else was she expecting about the baby's paternity?

when Ovi was drinking, she wasn't in denial, SHE KNEW Arjun loved her

Sorry but I can't really understand what you're trying to say here.

From what little I did understand is that I never said Ovi was in denial while drinking. I said she was in denial when she couldnt accept arjun left her for purvi initially.

i spoke about ovi being a drunk b/c that widely justified on the forum by several members as a response to her depression etc. Such a serious mistake by the charcater was given the A-ok yet purvi's sheer response to something is being called "stupid" "freaking out" "cant do math" etc
