Umm. How can you say that Akbar loved Jodha?

Historically, there is very little known about their Love story. Hardly anything actually. Jodha was the Amer princess & marrying her was a vastly beneficial political alliance for Akbar &'the Mughals as a whole for Akbar was deeply keen to gain entry into Rajputana. It was his father, the Emperor Humayun's deepest wish! But it didn't happen while he was alive. Akbar made it happen. As Abar was extremely intelligent , highly politically astute & ruled with an iron hand & calculated compassion.

As for Jodha giving him his waaris, his three chief Begum's were Ruqaiiya who was Paadshaah Begum. Salima & Jodha Bai/Harkha Bai. Ruqaiyya couldn't bear children, Salima was his Khaan-Baaba's wife & as far as I know, isn't known for sure if she gave birth to Akbar's children.

Hence Jodha giving birth to the heir could be out of sheer necessity. He might've liked her, had a soft spot for her but the Epic Love Story the movie & show claim, I really doubt if it took place.

It is widely known that Akbar never had a Grand Love Story the way his son & even better, grand-son had. His one real love was his Paadshaah Begum, his childhood friend & best friend, Ruqaiyya Begum.

And how can the makers wish away Ruqiayya? She was his true love! Even after JJ fall in eternal love I hope they don't fade Ruqayya away.

It's time Indian audiences become emotionally mature.

Go to any websites, Wikipedia or any books , it will tell you the same thing, akbar's beloved begum was jodha but she had reservations at the beginning.

And if we don't know for sure about history then how can you even tell that ruqaiya was special to him and he loved her the most?

The point here is we are watching jodha Akbar love story and not ruqaiya Akbar love story. Exactly what I wrote then change the title of the show. And if jodha akbar's love story was not famous then why do we have Bollywood and TV industry running to make films and serials on them? It's common sense, they were famous and made history to some extent.

Exactly my point too...the show's name is jodha akbar so oviously precedence should be given to them...in history rukiya might have been his favourite ..i am least bothered ..but since the leads are jodha akbar nd its abt their love story ..nd Ekta herself said they r not following history completely ...so why isnt more importance being given jodha akbar ..dats my concern ..i am not saying they shouldnt show rukiya ...her scenes shuld be there ..but the first priority should be given to leads ...its been 4 days now ...nd we havent got a proper akdha scene .they are not being even shown in the same frame ...we were promised such good nursing scenes ..but soo far nothing has been shown nd they keep showing jalal rukiya scenes ...rukiya hogging all thesscreen space ..unwantedf javeeda nd adham scenes ...everyone is being give importance other dan leads ...come on any akdha fan..will get pissed by this ...we give them trp's so isnt it the cvs duty to fulfill our wishes too...but i see nothing happoening...it is very disappointing...

Yes I've read these books & websites (Wikipedia is a most in-authentic source for actual information by the by) and more importantly, his biographies & historians accounts. Which all state that if there was a love of Akbar's Life, it was only his Paadshaah Begum, Ruqaiyya. Yes, he might've liked Jodha a lot/been very fond of her but then why isn't she mentioned in his biographies? Court accounts? Historian accounts? Why do all of them shout out about Ruqaiiya & the un-matched importance she had in Akbar's life.

It is folk-lore that she had reservations about him, he was the Shahenshaah of Himdustaan, she , the princess of a small state. Reservations wouldn't have been much. I do hear she was accomplished, learned & highly beautiful though! This, from a rare historian who actually took her name in his writing.

I agree with you in part. But they're trying to I reckon, build up the story step-by-step. So that will take time. And how can they put Ruqaiyya in the background?? She was a highly important person in Akbar's life!!

I just wish that they would make Ruq'a character like how it was but I bet they're all ready to spoil it further! As if it needed any more spoiling!

Yes, as a immensely dedicated viewer of this show, and as someone who considers Rajat her Love 😃, I wish there are more scenes between the lead pair. But we have to understand that the makers want this to be a slow progression if it is to last. So I think we all should, wait.
When these two DO come on-screen, they make up for everything!!! 😳
