I caught up with the week's episodes today and just felt like writing in here for a reason that's not centering around frustration for a change, LOL. Sharon as Swayam's Secret Admirer is something I, for one, had never expected I would ever get to see on D3 in this lifetime. So first and foremost a big happy thumbs up to the idea in itself, the role-reversal that was such a pleasant surprise! 😃
Now I do agree that there have been episodes, one episode actually for me, which felt like a bit of a drag and a little more random than needed. But that aside I have to admit that at least for me personally it is really good to see a happy, light-hearted and fun vibe to SwaRon after the longest time. Yes, opinions differ on whether this interferes with the 'essence' of SwaRon or not, and mine is that it does no such thing. Because the 'essence' of SwaRon doesn't always need to be angst and intensity...there needs to be more to them too, and light-hearted comedy-of-errors type elements are quite a welcome change to me as a viewer as well as SwaRon fan. Of course, like I said there are bits where even I admit there has been unnecessary stretching that didn't always work great, but it doesn't take away from the general feel of the track for me, which is a positive one after a very long time and I'm honestly really enjoying it. Touchwood. The only thing I could possibly say I miss is exclusive SwaRon scenes or convos, but I do understand why that's absent because it fits right in with the track and everything else with the gang and everything is being done really well. I love how it is Sharon who is being so expressive of her love in a way she hasn't been in two years, and Swayam playing along to have his way rather than give in to mush immediately to kiss and make up her way, is also a side to him I haven't seen before. 👍🏼
I just hope this isn't stretched too long and too far, is all. Other than that, at present I'm enjoying D3 with a light heart after a very long time. And I thought that merits appreciation, hence this post. I'm open to disagreement, partial or entire, though. Would love to know everyone else's views too. 😊
