Filmfare Unfair ........? I think so

I was very dissapointed with the awards yesterday and some of the winners .

In my opinion , Khosla ka Ghosla , Being Cyrus , Dor and even Gangster were some of the best movies of 2006 yet these films werent even nominated in some of the categories .

I mean Shiney Ahuja wasnt nominated for his role in gangster wheras Sanju baba was for MunnaBhai when he didnt even have to act in the movie .

Ayesha Takia wasnt even nominated when her role was more powerful and well acted out than an ASH who dint have to do anything in D2 except for speaking in her fake accent and a dance number and, she gets nominated .

Daler Mehndi wasnt even nominted for his rendition of RDB song which i found to be completely unfair , I also though Ya Ali singer deserved it more than Shaan although Shaan is my favourite .

Pritam wasnt even nominated in the best Music director category while shankar ehsan loy get two nomination which was totally unfair .

Akshay kumar wasnt nominated in the best actor category or atleast in the best actor in a comic role category when he did an awesome job in Garam Masala , if sanjay Dutt can be nominated for the best actor for Lage Raho, why not Akshay Kumar

Hrithik is my fav and he did an awesome job in D2 and Krish but do u think he really deserved the award for the best actor for D2 . Why wasnt Ajay Devgan nominated for Omkara and the movie too didnt get any award exceptin the music dept .

Why wasnt Anupam Kher nominated for the best actor category when he did an amazing job in khosla ka ghosla

why wasnt Shreyas Talpade nominated in the comic cateogry when his performance is Dor was excellent .

it does make u wonder ........ I think the awards are given not based on thier talent but their popularity alone and with whom they would gain in terms of viewership and trp's .

there is no single award ceremony tht is fair anyway---not even the oscars! IMO Dor was the best film of the year, not LRMB and certainly not RDB.

No point whining abt it.....if we as an audience can see it's unfair then Im think the industry too can see it's unfair.....I'm sure the actors rnt gonna lose their sleep if they dont win a filmfare.

i dnt think rang de basanti shud have won as many as it did and lage raho munnabhai. i think krrish,gangster,don were also gd candidates

The filmfare has to stop, I mean absolutely stooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooop, giving out the same actor two nominations in the same category. This is ridiclous, they are wasting nominations by doing so it is not fair to the other actors. I love SRK, but did they have to nominate him twice, just pick his best movie and nominate him for that.
I was watching the oscars last night, and the only category that had multiple nominations was for the movie dream girls in the best original song category, but it wasnt to the same people, eventhough it is the same movie, the three songs nominated were given to three different people who sang those songs, so that is fair, because they recognize different talents.
Giving SRK a nomination states that he is great actor, but giving him two nominations doesnt prove anything except that they cant find anyone else to nominate so to fill up space they give the same guy two nominations. 😆 😆 😆

I hadnt watched film fare in like 10 years. I hear about winners every year but I always knew it is the most unfair and overrated awards show. I totally agree with the author of this post that this awards show is total garbage and doesnt recognize the right talent or the movies. 😕

I was so proud watching the oscars yesterday to know that a 61 year old woman won a best actress award for her portrayal of the Queen in the movie Queen. When was the last time when not a mainstream actress, someone over 35 or 40 won an filmfare award. They could have given to Tabu for her work in the Namesake. I heard she was great. They give it to Kajol. 😕 😕 I mean looooooooooooove Kajol, she is an awesome actress, but her work in Fanaa was so dry and jaded. 😕

I dont think Bollywood has no right to complain that we dont get recognized by the oscars. When our own awards show itself do a poor job of recognizing talent, where everything is sooooooooooooooo publicity driven and pleasing the big banners. Lets get things right in our own country befor we start pleasing the oscars. 😆

I completely agree , we always say that our awards deserve more recognition , for what , for giving awards not based on talent but mere popularity and hype .

I was proud of the oscars too coz they atleast dont descriminate against age and talent . I mean here we cant even think of giving an award to a say an aged actress or for that matter an aged actor except for amitabh coz of his superstar status more than his acting.

two nominations for shah rukh was totally ridiculous , why couldnt they nominate anupam kher or shiney ahuja .

the worst was ash's nomination for D2 , what did she do in the film for a nomination and what didnt ayesha do to not get a nomination
