Shahid Kapoor not keen to work with Ekta Kapoor?
Now, Shahid out of Milan Talkies. The actor's exit is the fourth casualty suffered by the film
Shahid Kapoor has walked out from Milan Talkies, the Balaji film to be directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and according to industry insiders the exit also marks his departure from the Ekta Kapoor camp.
Buzz is, after the debacle of Once Upon Ay Time in Mumbai Dobaara, Shahid was not keen to work with the production house, which had earlier faced allegations of "aggression" by Imran Khan who was then replaced by Shahid.
The search for a female lead for the film too has been futile so far with Shraddha Kapoor recently exiting the film. Priyanka Chopra too had turned down the project. Priyanka earlier did a song for Ekta in Shootout at Wadala but that relationship too soured after the makers announced that Sunny Leone's dance number in the film was a better one.
"Obviously a big actress wouldn't tolerate such a comparison with a relatively new face," added a source.
When we quizzed Tanuj Garg, the CEO of Balaji Motion Pictures, about Shahid's decision to not be a part of Milan Talkies, he said, "This speculation needs to stop. We will make a formal announcement soon."
Though Shahid chose not to comment, a friend of the actor called up to say, "Shahid and Tigmanshu are very much in touch. While he is very keen to work with him, he doesn't like the way Balaji operates. He doesn't want to work with them. Instead of saying who they are taking and who they are throwing out, they should lie low and pull up their socks instead."
