There are two spineless characters in this serial. Bani and Soham.
Bani is a selfish, self-centred, weakling, spineless, insensitive, and a BLIND woman. Ok she is bothered about and cares for her parents, but she should not do it at the cost of her sister's married life----the sister who has always been her support and cared for her. Bani knows very well that Soham had loved her and was cheated into marrying Rajji by her own mother. Yet, she runs only to him (her jijaji who loves her) for help. I think any other woman will try to avoid such a situation. Instead, Bani shares her problems only with Soham, takes help only from him, asks him to keep her secrets (even from her sister).
Does she not have enough common sense to understand that she is destroying Rajji's married life? Does she not understand that she is not allowing Soham to get over her and start his life with Rajji? Does she not have the IQ to understand that Soham is now Rajji's husband and she needs to allow them to have some time together to get things working between them? This is the reason I call her insensitive and BLIND.
Rajji understands Bani's problems even when she does not say anything. Then why is Bani so stupid enough not to see what is happening in Rajji's life? Does Rajji have to ask he not take Soham to Delhi? Can she not understand and do these little things on her own, by herself? Pathetic Bani. Absolutely Pathetic!!
With all these flaws in her, how can Bani be the central character of the show? Actually, however hard I try, I just cannot sympathize with her or the situations she is in. Instead I end up sympathizing with Rajji!! She is strong, she syands by the people she is associated with (not just love), she is sensitive, and yet she is a fighter. Rajji has been sacrificing for her sister and she is concerned about everybody (even the useless Bani, weakling Soham, and the rude buaji).
