What is with all this nazar utaro stuff?

I think I need to make a thread where I can vent out all of inaccuracies this show has in terms of Islamic traditions. i know this is not a show about islam, but if these are muslims characters shouldn't their traditions and practices be just a little more related to the Islamic way of life?

since when do muslims do nazar utaro rasams? isnt that shirk (putting someone or something in the place of Allah) to think that giving money will save someone from evil eyes? or that will somehow prevent something from happening. i have never seen this rasam in my life, and i have attended many weddings. yes we give eidi money as gifts, not utaro nazar lol. sorry this was more to vent my own frustrations of rarely being able to identify with any of these characters and their practices as a young muslim myself.

but then again, they screwed up something as by the book as a nikaah and had imams come and validate an invalid nikaah. so i guess we cant expect much from the show. i just wish they were a little more accurate.

Im not Muslim and know very little about the religion and the culture.

But is it possible that different Muslims have different practices?

In Hinduism its like that. You believe in similar Gods and follow the same religion but some customs and practices vary.

Is that possible?

Im genuinly asking cause i dont know and i just thought it may be the case.

Im genuinly asking cause i dont know and i just thought it may be the case.

not in terms of religious practices. i mean like south asians to haldi even though that isn't in islam but that is a cultural practice.

but the thing with the nazar utaro rasam is just that it goes against belief that only Allah has the power to protect you from anything. its not a big deal, i just hate that sooo many creative liberties are taken just for one little scene where they wanted to show asad and ayaan both take out the money.

Oh okay gotcha. I get ur point i just would assume that i think the main creatives are Muslim themselves. So i have doubts that they would show things out of practice..its possible the way theyve been accustomed and brought up theyve seen it and practiced it differently.

Or they could be uneducated about their own religion and cultural practices. Anythings possible.

Guys why are u freaking out,its Haseena after all. she can do anything for money, don't u know that. lot of expense on decoration. So she is collecting money for that. She use 100 Rs for nazar utaro, while for Zoya they have shown 1000 Rs. note.😉😆😃

Hindus will think these are Muslim Rasams. Muslims would consider, they could be Hindu rasams. (My south Indian mind thinking about Rice Rasam). But most of them happen to be just CV Rasams cooked in Qubool Hai kitchen. ( In fact, one should prepare the list of Rasams invented by Qubool Hai team. )
