In Bollywood, there are star wars and then there are fan wars. Thanks to social media, people are getting the freedom to voice their opinion about anything and everything. People are quick to love as well as hate celebs at the same time. So much that if someone is a Shah Rukh fan, rarely will he be a Salman fan too. Here are few pairs of celebs who are often pitted against each other on Pinkvilla -

Deepika Padukone v/s Katrina Kaif

Both these beauties are have made it to the top today and considering that they almost started their career together and are neck and neck ever since explains why their fans are always on either side. If this wasn't making things worse, the Ranbir Kapoor factor surely did. Ranbir who earlier dated Deepika shifted to Katrina after their break up. The funny part being that even though the actor is in good terms with Deepika, her fans surely took Ranbir changing loyalties' way too seriously. And who bears the brunt? Katrina!

Two superstars of Bollywood - SRK and Salman cannot possibly share the same fan base. Their rivalry has been going on since forever and we still don't know if that "hug" really made a difference. Their fans are so faithful that when the news of their hug broke out, both the sides were busy arguing over who must have hugged whom! "Surely Salman", say his fans while SRK fans beg to disagree!

The two were reigning queens in their generation and even today look a million bucks. And yes, not to mention, their fan following which is huge even today! Both took a sabbatical from work and made their grand comeback in Bollywood as well. There was always some sort of tension between them but as of late, things seem to have changed. Another instance where a third person became a cause for animosity between two people. Here, we're talking about Katrina Kaif. Salman fans hate Ranbir for dating her while Ranbir fans "claim" she looks best with him! What's funny is Ranbir and Salman have always been cordial with each other. Recently Salman even mentioned how Ranbir is a big star! Looks like here the so-called rivalry is entirely fan-made!

Both dated Salman Khan. Both were voted as the most beautiful actress in Bollywood. Both were considered for endorsing the same brands. How can there not be rivalry?! We wonder if the two have ever even interacted before but keeping the above facts in mind, we don't blame their fans for arguing over who's better!
