Akbar had 6 sons and many daughters who all died before/after birthHence he went to dargha walking bare foot as he was 27 years old already without heirthen hira bai had salim after a year and akbar never went to see him for 6 months and then went to see him and got him back only after a year from ajmer. May be he felt if he see son its bad omen

But this is not the interesting fact listen to this in jehangirnama jehangir says "If only my parents had been careful and paid attention all my brothers-sisters" would have lived. What does that mean? Is he saying his siblings(his own and step siblings) died because someone attempted on their life(historians suspect that too apart from high child mortality rate) or his dad and mom, step moms did not give attention/care to his siblings hence they died? Can you believe what some skeptic historians say that Salim died and was replaced by Salim Chisti's infant son? Salim was never Jodha-Akbar's son? 😕 Only Jodha can answer this doubt or DNA testing.History is truly mystery

In those days.. killing heirs was very common..Switched at birth? I fell that is highly unlikely 😆I have read how jehangir looked both mughal and how his Indian features were prominent because of his mother..
Yes Alakh,
Salim had distinct Indian(read Rajput ) features coming from his mother's side and had habits that of his paternal side...viz. Boozing, Hashish etc etc...😊 No chance of Baby-switching in his case as die-hard Mughal and Rajput loyals were kept stationed at the Dargah during the birth...and Salim's birth was kept a low-key affair till he survived the 1st few crucial months...for fear of conspiracy and superstition...😊
