Read the write up that Soni has posted on life in the harem..it clearly shows that the women (though they had numerous problems within themselves) NEVER brought up any of it when in presence of the Shenehshah...like it or not, in that era their prime duty was pleasing him and bearing his heir...unless they were his favourite queen, they'd possibly only have a few glimpses of personal time with him throughout the year ...and within that short span of time, if they decided to fall from his favour, they'd have no place/respect in the harem after that ...

This Jodha makes for more interesting 21st century viewing...if they showed her like the original one (or even the one in AG's movie, I doubt, it'd keep us so much on the edge of our seats with topics and topics to post discussing about/for/against her!😛)

Even death was not mentioned throughout the palace, When a lady fell ill she was shifted to bimar khanan..

Only death of prominent ladies was mourned.

Lashy dear,

To use your lingo, GMTA, and you have obviously not seen my latest, The turning of the tide, where I have noted,

NB: Rewatching that segment clarifies that he says Humne usse bahut kuch liya hai -not aapse bahut kuch liya hai - ie that he has taken a great deal from the Almighty, and so wants nothing now, and has thus made his wish for her. Which makes sense. Why on earth would Jalal endorse, even if partially, her illogical mantra that he has despoiled her of everything she holds dear?

Hurry over there, and tell me what you feel about the whole as well.

Aunty.. I saw the scene again.. he very clearly says AAPSE
and generally, people don't refer to god as 'I have taken a lot from you.'.. doesn't sound right. Why didn't jalal say, 'ussne humien bahut kuch diya hai'?

What do you think?

sounds so sad doesn't it Alakh...😭you could live all your life like a no-one in the harem..and none would even know if you died...ok that's really depressing now...

Thankfully... I'm in the 21st century..and my harem only consist of my kitchen, my two lil ones and my 1 and only Jalal at home...😆

He HAS started empathizing with her plight ever since that day..but, he's also sensible enough to know that HE was NOT solely responsible for all of it.. It was circumstances AND a load of other reasons that were responsible for Jodha's grief too!

No, Alakh, I am with Lashy on this one. I stood next to the TV with my ear close to the loudspeaker, and it was usse.

So there is no doubt in my mind, and the rest of what he says flows smoothly and logically from that. So relax, and dispense with the black eye!😉
