maan was swinging naina in his arms somewhere feeling proud and happy at the same time that he owns her now. the girl he loves will be his... maan pushed naina with a jerk and again pulled her back with a jerk in his arms and stared at her... he was trying to see his face in her eyes... but whenever he tried finding himself in those eyes, he saw emptiness... he saw something which his heart refused to believe... he saw someone else's shadow in those eyes... he saw love... but alas that love wasnt for him... he always tried to become everything she wants but today he realised that he has failed this time also... so what she was physically present with him, her heart, her soul wasnt with him... the love in her eyes was not for him... the smile that used to linger on her lips wasnt for him... maan was surrounded by questions... was she really not his...??? was she really not happy with him...?? why cant she accept him and his love...??? what more does she wants from him...??? why isnt he enough for her...?? what is she searching for...??? will her search ever end...?? will she able to love him back...??
the song ended and the sound of the claps brought naina and maan out of their trance.
rishabh : ladies and gentlemen, i really want to thank all of you for your gracious presence... you all have made this occasion even more special for me and my little sister naina... thank you for your blessings... today you all didnt let us feel that mom and dad are not here... dont worry they are absolutely safe and just because of some emergency couldnt make it today... naina and maan can i have you both here...
maan and naina went towards the stage and before rishabh could say anything naina whispered to rishabh...
naina : call bhabhi also... she is family...
rishabh : hmm...
rishabh : can i have my dear wife on the stage as well...?? madhu darling... (smiling at her)
rishabh's fake and forced smile didnt went unnoticed by madhu and she joined the stage...
rishabh : maan and i have started a new business... we are now not only business partners now... we are relatives... and the name of the company is NMK... confused...??? NMK is naina maan khurana...

manvi hugged virat and was thinking of what just happened today... she actually spilled out the secret she had buried down in her heart... suddenly the guilt was overtaking her... she was feeling sorry... manvi didnt realise when the tears started rolling down her cheeks.
virat : manvi... (whispered)
manvi : hmm... (wiping her tears)
virat : i love you... ❤️

virat realised his shirt was wet and opened his eyes to see manvi whose eyes were red and swollen...
virat : you have been crying... what happened jaan...???

manvi : sometimes truth destroys everything...

The music was streaming through her earphones straight into her heart, echoing her emotions. Naina didn't count the exact number of times she had listened to the song till now in one single night. It had been one of his favourite songs. naina remembered hearing him hum it to himself at times and sometimes to her, when she was with him. It all seemed too very far away in time now. Once, they had thought that nothing in the world could separate them, and yet, here she was now, dreading a life full of loneliness without him and his love...

naina was numb and minutes later tried to find the source of these words... the three words which meant the world to her.
naina : what are you doing here...???
