Kanwar Dhillon opens up on playing Yamraj: 'Unique and Challenging'

Actor Kanwar Dhillon, known for his performance in Rahul Kumar Tewary's show Udne Ki Aasha, will soon be seen in a different avatar on screen as he portrays Yamraj in an upcoming sequence. The track offers a mix of drama and humour, placing Sachin, his character, in an unusual situation.

Sharing details about the sequence, Kanwar explains, "Basically, it's a sequence where Sachin lands up at a shoot where he notices that the actor isn't able to deliver his lines and Sachin takes over and has to wear a specific attire to get some work done. He eventually comes home in the same get-up, and no one recognises him. This leads to a dramatic and humorous situation. I won't reveal everything because that would take away from the fun viewers will experience while watching the episode. I really hope people enjoy the sequence and have a good laugh when they see me in this avatar—I'm truly looking forward to their reactions."

Stepping Into the Powerful Avatar of Yamraj

Talking about stepping into the role of Yamraj, Kanwar says the experience was different from his usual scenes. "Playing Yamraj was unique and challenging because he is such an overpowering figure. You need a strong body language and have to play a lot with your voice to bring that authority on screen. Getting into the attire and the look was a fun experience, and it really helped me get into the skin of the character."

The actor also shared that filming this sequence required long and demanding hours. He had to manage multiple scenes while working on a tight schedule. "The shoot itself was quite taxing. I had to switch between my regular scenes and the Yamraj sequence simultaneously since we were shooting very close to the telecast schedule. Despite being exhausting, it was a lot of fun. Shooting with the buffalo was equally challenging—you have to carefully gauge the animal's mood and give it enough space. Overall, it turned out to be a fun, light-hearted sequence, and I genuinely enjoyed portraying Yamraj. I hope the audience enjoys watching it just as much when it goes on air."

The sequence is expected to add a humorous twist to the storyline, with Kanwar's transformation creating confusion for the characters at home. His portrayal focuses on body language, voice modulation, and the costume's visual impact, which together shape Yamraj's on-screen presence.
