I don't know, to be honest!😆

I think the fault lies in reading too many reviews beforehand...every reviewer was praising the film so much...that I thought it would earth-shatteringly good...it was not!😕 I mean, it was a really well-made film...very sensitive...deep...with excellent performances...but it had something lacking!
Some aspects of the film were very inexplicable...like where does Rajeev (Ila's hubby) disappear all of a sudden? How come Fernandez's dabba lands at Rajeev's table and vice-versa? And other many such things! If the film wasn't so critically acclaimed, I wouldn't even have bothered with these small details...but when a film garners so much praise, you as an audience tend to expect perfection...and that is what I found missing in the film!
Whereas, I was fine with the ending...I thought that was a clever touch...the audience is left guessing whether Saajan and Ila meet or not...whether she ends up going to Bhutan or not...I thought the ending was the most romantic part of the film!😊
One scene that I really loved in the film though is the one where Saajan comes to meet Ila, but goes away without meeting her...and later writes to her that when he saw how beautiful and young she was, he was reminded of his own age and position in life...it was so poignant and beautiful...

Ok so maybe the hype got to you. Something lacking for me was the ending. I wanted to know whether Ila found a better future for herself. I felt it was abrupt and all of us in the theatre were staring at each other ki yeh kya hua😆 But clever it was. 😆

Ila's husband didn't have much to do. I think they just wanted to convey that basically she was neglected by him... the reason being his affair. Dabba thing, I agree... it wasn't made clear.

Yes that scene was beautiful! My favourite moment was him watching his late wife's favorite DD show in her remembrance. The way Irfan would say it in the letter...couldn't help choking at that scene.

Yet to watch many movies I'm eager to watch. From the three or four I watched, I'd pick Inkaar as my favorite.

Why? I always end up loving Sudhir's movies.
