Just caught a clipping. The initial segment was beautiful indeed. I know I'm just adding to a plethora of topics that have already highlighted every aspect of the coverage in detail. However I couldn't just contain myself.
Lying in the midst of drapes that cascaded like sheets of glass around her bed, Jodha elegantly reposed on her plush cushion. With her open wild tresses that flowed over her arms and waist, she appeared nothing less than naturally divine in this simplistic form of hers. Relieved of all the resplendent ornaments that the king would have been used to witnessing her in, the silent yet tensed queen lay on her bed - deliberately facing away from the troubling presence of her husband.
No less sublime in any manner than his illustrious queen himself, Jalal sat by on a makeshift couch. Frowns marking his brows, he prepared himself for what seemed to be like a comparatively uncomfortable night ahead.
Obviously, there was no way he could share her bed-space - out of question. Even the thought of resting in her presence seemed awkward enough. To top it all, a couch that felt like stone. Oh! How he missed his comfortable bedstead at Agra! Why, even his bedding at his war camps were heavenly in comparison to these current arrangements. Yet, the last thing he'd do was spend the night beside her on the welcoming mattress in front - so what if it was HIS RIGHT to do so?
He sat up on the couch yet again. Sleep definitely didn't seem to favour him that night. He rested his fatigued temple against his wrist. Not knowing how else to while time AND what else to do to keep him distracted from watching her - he twirled the handle of his sword with his palm - a favourite gimmick of his!
While she consciously stayed still facing the opposite direction, he deliberately amused himself with his favourite toy - taking every care NOT to glance at her even for a moment!
Just then, he sensed a disturbance. She'd descended from her bed. He slowly stood up as the hesitant queen went on to fetch herself a goblet of water...
