The organic love and craze which Alia wants but Shradha gets
I'm a modern muslim girl living in the UK.
In terms of their internal personality and the way that they think- I can relate to them. I like both of these contestants, both carried themselves with grace and spoke in a respectable manner to everyone. Their use of the Arabic language like "SubhanAllah", "Alhumdullilah" and "Mash'Allah" was common and I liked it.
However, from the outward appearance I cannot relate to them at all. The way that they dressed and their approach to men and flirtation is completely opposite to mines.
Not saying I'm a better muslim than them or anything of the sort. Everyone has their own understanding of their religion and it's up to them to decide how they wish to conduct themselves. Their deeds, actions and intentions are between their Lord and them. Thus, I cannot judge them.
But I do not think these two women represent indian urban/modern muslim women at all. They may represent a very small proportion but I think muslim women at large are progressing in education and success without leaving their religion a side.
@King-Anu I completely understand what your saying.
I had thought about writing a post on this topic myself but thought it was too sensitive.
My modern-Muslim friends are a lot more conservative than Sana and Gauhar, but I wouldn't laugh at Sana/Gauhar for not being 'ideal' Muslims. Who are we to judge anyone and their religion or their equation with God. People have their own interpretations.
