Sorry dear- for the first time - I'm going to disagree with a few points in your post - but, this is my take on the whole thing 😊

Though I'm not at all fond of either the talaaq track or the suicide track and the reasoning for them (I don't mean the Parijat scenes in them) I'd say yesterday's episode was quite well taken. I was wondering what would have driven Jodha to such a drastic step - but glimpses of its 'why' were visible yesterday. It was a good enough transition from the episode prior and well and truly settles into the next one too!

Holi scenes
The holi scenes were not really boring - they showed the right amount of enthusiasm (and were in pace with the previous episodes before the MC track)...
Jalal - I for one, am thankful they showed Jalal being embroiled in some form of administrative/religious discussions (as a proper Emperor) instead of playing Holi with his Begum. We need to remember that as a Mughal king, he ALLOWED others to retain their culture - he didn't start participating in them. That scene with the Maulvi was indeed well shot (and well timed or should I say ill-timed lol!)! Besides, with the ghrina phase they're in - it would make little sense for him to do a Rab ne bana di scene of applying Holi on her sindoor etc!
Jodha - Now to Jodha - She is playing Holi in Agra (which is a place primarily Hindu festivals would NOT have been celebrated) she could have taken more care, but I understand her enthusiasm. Leaving or not, anything that reminds a new bride of her maika - brings a smile to one's face!
She was really happy in the beginning that she'd been given permission - so much so - that even Jalal's name brought forth by HB didn't taint her smiles (though I do wish CVs showed Jodha pondering to herself at least for a moment about Jalal's seemingly charming attitude at her stall the previous evening)

The fiasco
What followed was blown out of proportion because it is against the norms of the Mughal palace...it was not illegal, it was maybe not irreligious, but it was against their sentiments...Why do we keep forgetting that we're watching a 16th century story in the 21st...and that too in the houses of one of the most powerful Mughal families to have existed!
Now, Jalal has no problems with following Hindu customs (some of it) to keep Jodha happy, HB is ok with it too...but, MA is not! She has always been shown as a staunch muslim. She was NEVER happy with this Hindu marriage, the Bhajan, the Kirtan - none of it! And based on what I've read most people in his court shared her viewpoints rather than Jalal's. [Even today in the Gulf countries, we're not allowed to eat anything outside (even chewing gum) during Ramadan. Obviously, a newcomer could unintentionally end up eating something - but then, they will have to face the consequences if caught, right? The newcomer was doing no wrong, but he/she broke the rules. Most common decent people wouldn't mind - but still, rules of a place/city/country are rules]
Besides, Jalal had pre-warned Jodha not to affect anyone's sentiments while doing so. To add to it all, Jodha'd been rude to him the previous day, then MA's outburst, plus Ruqs instigating him, the Maulvi stating his preferences - all of this build-up led to him losing his cool!

Back to Amer
As for sending her back - THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE. Following the MC, when he saw that Jodha wasn't happy, he wanted to send her back for her own happiness. He only heard the word ghrina and ghutan from her constantly. So, he gave her options. Now, some are asking how could he do something so against her customs? Well his religion allows it - so he offered the choices. If her's didn't, then she shouldn't have taken it. Yet, sticking to her ego - she decided to take the 'go to Amer' option.

He was planning to send her back with (though not fanfare) her dignity intact! She could have possibly returned when she wanted to.(I'm guessing) Now, even that's been taken away from her. He's banishing her, as punishment. The issue is that the CVs haven't explained this differentiation properly!

Jodha's mistake was totally innocent- unintentional. Her acceptance of it totally graceful! She didn't respond to Jalal's outburst. However, MA's sharp tongue has twisted her into knots and that's what leads to the drama on Monday!

How that drama then leads on to Mohan I have no idea...but, I'm just enjoying the ride for now...

Signed,
A true Akdha lover (This seems to be a compulsary disclaimer lately😆)

Lashy, thanks for expressing your view in detail. We are in disagreement indeed. I did not want Akdha to play holi together, that would have been weird after so many fights they were having lately. But, Jalal admiring Jodha's free spirit in that lonely palace would have been good. I still feel Jodha's playing holi was odd, she has been claiming to be unhappy and on top of it she should be worrying about her parents reactions when she reaches Amer. If she is not serious about going then she should be worrying about what will she tell Jalal. But, here we have Jodha celebrating holi.

About the over reaction from MA on holi, I agree that it was expected. But, Hamida and Jalal have all the power but they chose to be on the religious sentiment time. Wouldn't this have been a perfect time for Jalal to tell others that we should respect other peoples culture and what happened was just an accident. May be Jodha rude behavior was in his head and so were his BA crocodile tears.

Jalal spoke about how her punishment will be discussed and finalized. He did not mean that him banishing her to Amer will be her punishment. He somehow now feels her going away is her biggest punishment. CVs didnt do a good job here for sure

But, don't you think his discussions with the maulvi seemed quite good too...I do think we'll be gifted with more scenes in future of Jalal being able to admire Jodha's free spirit...especially when the romance is in its just-about-to-start stages...😳

You have a point here...😊 they needed a reason for the forthcoming drama of the suicide ...so they used this route...if you read an older article, all this Holi drama wasn't meant to happen...the suicide bit has been added recently to the script...I think its all because these tracks were when the old CVs left and the new CVs took over...the transition has been a bit overlapping...

He is still a young king here...he possibly needs to mature a bit more to be able to take his independant decisions...😊

Hmmm...I still feel Jalal is sending her away with dishonour tainting her name...IYKWIM..earlier it would have been mutual...but, this time it was HIS decision where she had no say..
anyway, next week should help us quell our doubts..😳

Agree, Its best to wait till next week and see how the drama unfolds. The whole meena bazaar, holi and suicide seems out of place. Still staying positive that after bringing down Jodha so much (suicide and all) Ekta has some plan to build her character and story up..
