Adnan Sami to star in Bela Sehgal's next?

We saw Adnan Sami romance tinsel town beauties like Rani Mukerji, Ameesha Patel, Raveena Tandon, Dia Mirza, Bhumika Chawla to name some, for various music videos of his album Tera Chehra. So it's not surprising to hear that the singer-composer will romance a girl in a film now.

You got that right. According to a source, "Film editor Bela Sehgal will launch Adnan Sami as an actor, later this year. It's a romantic comedy and the script-screenplay are in the final stages of completion."

Interestingly, Sehgal will also be making her directorial debut with this movie, produced by her brother, the much-acclaimed filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

For the latecomers, Bela Sehgal has been closely associated with all of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's films from Khamoshi to Black and now Saawariya as well.

Coincidentally, this isn't the first time Sehgal will be working with Sami. She has directed his music videos of the album Tera Chehra. The source also told us that this acting debut is also one of the reasons why Sami chose a weight reduction treatment in the US. On his return, Sami told in an interview to HT that he had lost 90 kilos and was working on shedding another 40 kilos more.

Our source also informs, "The script requires a known actress.. meaning the casting will generate a lot of curiosity about the film." Sami was busy in a recording session and so was unavailable for comment.

But Sehgal neither confirmed nor denied the news saying, "It's too early to talk about the film. Right now, Sanjay is busy shooting Saawariya and will formally announce it when he gets some time off from it. You won't have to wait for too long for the official announcement."

Addie in a movie huh? And what if Addie decides to impress the heroine with tarzan-like swings from trees? God help the tree! As it is, trees are pretty much the harassed lot these days, what with they being forced to marry out of their species 😕 Even though the alien species is Aish!

As an aside... Addie will need at least 3 heroines to do justice to his girth 😕

Only some actors have good voice and wat about those who dont have.... they better star learning singing....😉...but the singers r not even stoping that they r singing as well as acting
