Sangi, the question here is not whether the marriage is legal or not...it was clearly illegal...there can be an annulment on the grounds of non consummation. The real problem here is that a woman was traded as a slave...she was treated like a commodity by the very man who should have protected her. The problem is AAK has lost his credibility in the eyes of women...which he did earn in the desperation track ( including me) ...a man who can trade you once can trade you again. Zoya was never Asad's priority...he made it very clear. Can he be trusted? No. Do we sympathize with Zoya? Yes, the the trp audience does. Will the trp audience accept Zoyaan? After visualizing a woman being sold like a slave...will they accept Zoyaan? Oh, yes, they will. ..and remember all the saas bahu crap is coming up. The trps will be soaring...just mark my words. This was the only way she could have started zoyaan...accidentally because of the already established love track b/w Asya...but now not a single woman( urban/ rural) will not want Zoya with Asad. This is exactly what Gul wanted...remember we are not her catered audience. We can rant and complain all we want ...we can file complaints too but we don't count in the trps. I am sure the zoyaan love track is coming up...specifically because it's 3 months and not 3 weeks.
