most of the songs at that tym kept sentiments in mind
mere do anmol ratan for instance is something every mother wises her kids to be RamLakhan types

Second a lot of people are named raam and leela but theres a difference between ram and ramji
plus ramleela together just practically is calling for the case
Radha too equally hurt the sentiments
but ram ji is the biggest and most important in the country

I don't understand, BW movies have always given characters,God names be it Ram,Lakshman,Vishnu,Krishna etc. What about "My name is lakhan,sajjanon ka sajan mera naam hai Lakhan"?, " Mere 2 anmol ratan ek hai Ram tho dooja Lakhan"?, "Wah Wah Ramji,jodi kya banayi", "Ram teri Ganga miyli ho gayi", "Oh Ram ji bada dukh deeya" and many Kishen songs.

I am iffy on this subject altogether. While I do believe that creative liberty should exist with arts; it's not right for mediums to intently produce controversial material because that can incite violence, which can then lead to riots and then all that can lead into innocents being targeted.

But with RamLeela, I personally do not see the title to be derogatory or insulting. It's simply two individual names shared by millions of people. Now, had the makers sold their product as Mythology or religious documentary then sure people could have the right to object.

Anyway, if this is UTV's way to keep the movie in buzz then PUHLEEZ find another way.🥱

Somy its not about sing the name Ram or Leela...it is the combined phrase Ramleela as the title which is causing the uproar. Ramleela is a dramatic folk re-enactment of the life of Lord Ram, ending up in ten-day battle between Lord Ram and Ravan, as described in the Hindu religious epic, the Ramayana.

The film has nothing to do with Ramyan and that's why people are objecting.
