I think the issue is completely different here, its not abt the girl child, its abt rich, educated people behaving like complete monsters with their underaged maid servant. Child labor is illegal in India, children below 14 shd not be made to work.

This dastardly doctor couple not only kept an underaged maid, they made her work like a slave,beat her and tortured her, burned her hand with an iron, didnt give her enough to eat and imprisoned her against her will, without food. That doctor couple are criminals.I hope now they are treated like pariah by their neighbours and coworkers but I doubt it. In India nobody cares abt poor little maids who are tortured and enslaved.

That couple had a daughter the same age, yet neither the couple nor their spoiled child had any compassion or pity for the little maid.

And as for the poor girl, her mother didnt send her to work, she herself ran away from home, hoping to get a job and earn money to support her family. Her father was a drunkard, he shd have gotten a vasectomy instead of producing more kids! Her mother worked as a laborer at a construnction site but the agent gave her less money than shes supposed to get. Yet that construction project was a Government one, intended to give employment to poor people. But even there the dalaal was stealing the poor laborer's money and in Delhi, the illegal employment agency criminals stole the maid's salary and didnt give her a single paisa. That is India, systematic and complete exploitation of poor people!

Of course it is! It was always about exploiting those weaker than you. And here everyone exploits the poor instead of helping them.

This is what my point is...

Why the parents bring the kids in this kind of atmosphere...?? When they very well know that they cant give them a good and secured future...??? She ran away because she knew that her mother doesn't earn enough to feed the family...

The sin of the parents have to be borne by the kids...

And, when the poor kids' parents dont care for them...how can we expect that any other person will..????

The mother did care for her, she was supporting her kids any way she could, it was her loser drunkard husband who is to blame like many other lower class guys like him who produce kids but dont bother to feed them and the whole burden falls on the wife and mother!

But this does not absolve the crimes of the horrible doctor couple who tortured, abused and exploited the little maid, those so called doctors shd be stripped of their medical degrees and they shd be thrown in jail! If education doesnt teach people compassion and civilized behavior then that education has no value at all!

In the old days, our family also had some younger girls working as maids, they were never treated so badly. It just reveals the utter cruelty and disgusting mentality of these rich people in Delhi who hire young girls from these fake employment agencies and make them work like slaves!

Ive seen another Crime Patrol episode like this where a mentally handicapped girl was kidnapped from her village and brought to Delhi (again Delhi, does it specialize in cruel people?) Anyway that little girl was also enslaved, imprisoned by her rich employers, her mother came looking for her all the way from the village in Orissa, she searched all over Delhi, then got help from an NGO which deals with this kind of exploitation. Finally with the help of NGO, they found that girl, in the house where she had been hidden/imprisoned for 2-3 yrs! Those monsters, her employers were initially denying her presence in the house and the police were also siding with those rich people but the mother and the NGO people didnt give up and finally rescued the girl.

Its easy to blame the poor people but its not them who create the problems, its the padhey likhey janwars like these rich families who exploit these kidnapped kids and enslave them because they are too lazy to do their own work themselves and wont even treat their servants properly!
