Sumitra reduced to a joke

I can't believe what CVs have made of Sumitra!

I seriously think she's the root cause of the mess which is happening now!

So desperate to get a virgin and young bride from rich family for her son?! 😲

She used Anandi's excuse to create urgency in everyone's minds, not even allowing them to buy time to reconsider Shekhars' proposal. She kept sending Jagya to KB. She did total "sar pe chadhao" job whenever Sanchi came to visit them at Jetsar.

She became a doormat for Ira ji and Sanchi. In process she made Jagya a door mat too (glad he refused to become one!)

I was baffled by her dialogues today!

Look at these gems:

- "Acha! Jagya aaya tha wahan? Maa hun na. Main jaanti thi woh Sanchi ko dekhe bina reh hi nahi sakta!" 😡

- Her behaviour on seeing Sanchi's name wrongly spelt on the sample wedding invitation card was indicative of how despo she was! "Meri bahu ka naam koi galat likhe?!" 🤢 Taaliyan! Saas no. 1!

- Crying like a baby and shocked as if she'd heard news of someone's death when Ira told her what had happened! 😲

- In precap, she was hysterical and barking at Jagya without even giving him a chance to breathe let alone speak!

Har baar Anandi ka naam le ke blackmail! Aur Sanchi ko aise buri tarah sar pe chadha rakha hai! As if it is a devi from heavens who's going to descend on soil of Jetsar to give Sumitra the honour of being her MIL! 😡

She said, Maa hun, main Jagya ko jaanti hun! Ha! Does she indeed know him completely? Jaanti hoti na toh us ladke ki zindagi mein itni barbaadi na hoti!

She doesn't know Jagya at all. She keeps away from Jagya whenever he is home. She only went ot his room once in so many days just to thank him for getting engaged and doing big favor to the family by not humiliating them and agreeing to marry a cheapster like Sanchi. She has no bond with her son.

No one knows Jagya now, not even Anandi. To say that "I know Jagya" you are way in over your heads if you think you know who Jagya is now, what he stands for, what his beliefs are...for Sumitra Jagya is the stranger to whom she gave birth too, there is such a HUGE disconnect between Sumitra & Jagya...it's kind of sad. The mother-son relationship being so shallow and 1 dimensional is another shocker here.

She is so ashamed of him...has never ever tried to find any goodness in him...don't know how Jagya has any self respect nowadays, maybe bec of some faith that DS will support him and the fact that Bhairon took 2 mins out of his own life to thank Jagya for doing MS and congratulate him the way a parent should.

Sumitra is just a fool now...Jagya is too good for her now.

One more thing, I think Sumitra is AFRAID of Jagya now...afraid of actually looking into her son's eyes and seeing what she doesn't want to see- love for Ganga...afraid of his honesty and his stiff backbone, his ability to put people in their place, afraid of the way Bhairon trusts him, afraid of Jagya's ability to stand up for what's right...once, Jagya wasn't worthy of being her son, now she's no longer worthy of being his mother...they have a relationship bec. of the blood link, that's it...that bond is totally finished and it will further disintegrate when Jagya confesses that he loves Ganga...Sumitra will disown him...I'm pretty sure...

Jagya has become an even better man than Bhairon now. He is Bhairon's son but now he has surpassed Bhairon in in thoughtfulness, good intentions...standing up for what's right.

I am sure tomorrow Sumitra will threaten to disown him, blame Ganga, accuse him of many horrible things...and I don't think Sumitra will believe anyone who brings proof against Sanchi. Sumitra always loves others more than her own flesh & blood.

Sumitra never took a stand for Jagya and let DS spoil him rotten. She did not handle him wisely even during his Mumbai/Gauri track. She wasn't concerned about him. All that mattered to her was his defiance, disobedience and disrespect for their choices! She also only slapped him and threatened and shamed his new wife instead of trying to counsel Jagya and plead to Gauri's moral conscience.

After divorce from Anandi, Sumi forgot about Jagya. (Sniffling and crying occasionally is useless. She cried for being unable to control and possess him, not for him as a person)

She was least bothered about him and Gauri even when Gauri was pregnant or later when Gauri had a miscarriage. (Otherwise mothers do feel once for such a big event in their child's life)

After Jagya's return she became extra possessive of him and all she wanted to do was to control him and steer him the way she wanted to.

The same woman whose own daughter had been a widow and an unwed mother was biased and chauvinistic enough to reject divorcees or widows when proposals came for Jagya! Always making faces at girls and judging them! (Conveniently forgot that even laado Anandi was a divorcee before she married Shiv!)

Stupid woman remembers fake and small made up good gestures of Sanchi but throws aside great sacrifices of Ganga! She doesn't listen to Anandi or bother to talk to her. But keeps taking her silence as consent and uses her name to peddle her own agenda.

Given how she is ashamed of Jagya and does not trust him, I doubt if she will believe him when he tells them all of Sanchi's truth! Rather she may even say, "Toh kya ho gaya?" and claim she'd gladly become Sanchi's maid if she wants to shift to Mumbai or US! 🐷

So suffocatingly possessive that she objected to his going to Mumbai even for six months to complete a course and raids his room only to MAKE space for Sanchi (almirah mein uska saamaan bhi toh rakhna hai! 😡 ) and throws out his personal stuff without his permission (like Ganga's pic).

What will she do next? Put CCTV cameras at hospital and in his car to keep an eye on him? Hire private detectives to give her info of every move he makes and constantly spy on him? Slap him and drag him to KB to make him say sorry and take pheras with Sanchi?! 🤢

I think she's going crazy due to menopause!

I agree, the only one who can put Sumitra in her place is Dadisa, I feel DS has allowed Sumitra to get out of hand. Sumitra's stance on Ganga was wrong but DS took a diplomatic approach and it allowed Sumitra's head to swell up...even when Sanchi proposal came, DS herself believed the match was wrong, they lacked compatibility, she was worried and praying that all goes well FOR JAGDISH...even as far as the mahurats go, it's DS who's most worried abt getting a correct mahurat because such things are her personal beliefs and if Anandi had told DS that Sanchi bribed the pandit, it would be DS who would get the most hurt, Sumitra would forgive all this too...that's how low she has fallen...once all these facts start coming out, I think DS will begin to support Jagya, isolating Sumitra.

really ? jagya sanchi ko bina dekhe nahi reh sakta hai ?? itna confident sumi ko ?.phir woh kya tha jub jagya engagement ke din ganga ko chodne gaya tha .sanchi ne teej ka vrat kiya to jagya sanchi ke liye kyon nahi aaya .why he refuse to come to in udaypur when sanchi inform that i keeping fast for u and sumi know these very well .if jagya is so interested in sanchi he would have never ask to postponed engagement .,would have not gone to meet ganga .during engagement

I agree that Sumitra's character has gone over the top...goodness knows why the CV's need to make everything and everyone into extremes...

Kools, you have a good point. She will actually make life easier for him if she cuts off ties with him and forces him to live in the hospital quarters. He can marry Ganga and live there.
