Each have there own strength and weaknesses. None are too far apart from the other, just specialize in different genres. If Farah specializes in Masala, for Rohit its comedy, Motwane is artisticly inclined while Abbas Mastan are thriller specialists. None are versatile, like a Shimit Amin who can follow a crime thriller with a sports based drama followed by a slice of life film or a Dibakar Banerjee or even Anurag Kashyap.

Yaar the days if great consistent directors such as yash Chopra of subhash ghai long gone

These days a director will lucky to make one good film

Lets look at top 3 most loved films of last year

English Vinglish - debutant director

Barfi - guy from of mega flop Kites . No consistency

Kahaani - he made Aladdin 😲 😲 let Him prove its not a fluke

Who else Anurag kashyap has had some success but we will see what happens with Bombay Velvet

No constant box office and quality success other than KJO and RaJu Hirani

These days we have good directors not great ones

Ayan Mukherji - grossly over-rated after YJHD, he did well with WUS.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali
A R Murugadoss - he's made better movies down south.
Prabhu Deva
Homi Adajania - so over-rated.

I haven't seen Tigmanshu's work and Umesh Shula has only had one film to his credit so it's unfair if we judge him along with the others.

I LOVE Rohit and Vikramaditya's work in their respective styles of cinema. Rohit is a complete entertainer and Vikramaditya wows with his unique stories and creativity. Always thought Sanjay Leela was over-rated, except for HDDCS and Khamoshi which were master pieces. (and both had Salman in it too) 😳😆
