Chapter-6

Rey entered the doctor's cabin n sat down patiently as the doctor is busy in talking with someone. As the doctor finished his call, he turned towards rey n spoke

"So.. Rey..What brings u here today? Is everything okk with kriya?"

"Yes doctor, she is perfectly alright. But today m here for myself"

The doctor looked surprised. He had been their family doctor for years n had known this singhaniya boys very well. It had been rohan who always coming for check-ups ,never rey. Perhabs rey would cum to hospital but only to collect rohan's medical reports. Today rey surprised dr.mehta .

"Well doctor, Ever since rohan's death... I've been having nightmares ..n I keep waking up in the middle night.. I couldn't sleep properly for ages.. It was sleepless nights for me in all these days" Rey sighed after saying all these in a go..

Dr. Mehta nodded as he took out his stethoscope to check rey's heartbeat n he did various other tests also...

"Doctor.. can u give me some sleeping pills? I just wanna sleep peacefully atleast for a day?" rey spoke as mr. Mehta shook his head.. Rey looked at him confused...

"I don't think this can be treated by some sleeping pills.. This is more of a psychological problem.. A friend of mine, he is a psychiatrist.. I will call him n talk with him about this... I think he can help u.. u just visit him.. it it is not working then cum back to me.. I will prescribe some medicines for u.. What say"

Great.. Rey thought.. He nodded his head n noted down the doctor's number n left from there..

Rey entered into the the cake shop n smiled at the woman in the counter. He always used to come here to get cakes for rohan's b'day. N he believed that this lady knew he would cum for cake in this particular dat, so that she would make sure she was able to serve him. Chuckling at his own thoughts he selected one cake.

" What would u like written on the cake?" she asked

"Happy birthday Rohan"

The lady wrote it on the cake n handed it to him. Paying the bill, he then left.

He had bught the cake, booked the hall, invited everyone.. almost every arrangement is ready but now left is kriya..He still hadn't thought how to get her to the venue. Getting her to the venue was easy but he should have to give her an explanation. What it should be?he thought

If he want rohan's birthday to be perfect then kriya must be there.And he would want kriya cutting the cake, but if she saw Rohan's' name there she would ask too many questions..

Rey sat in his car n racked his brain for an idea.. He dialed a number n let it ring until a lady answered..

" Rey, what do you want? I've warned you many times not to call me" an irritated meera spoke from the other side..

"Meera.. please calm down.. I need your help"

"Help.. what help? I don't wanna do any help for u"

Rey sighed n spoke

" Its rohan's birthday today.."

Meera became silent for a minute. How could she forget this day? Rohan was lyk a elder brother for her. He did many favour for her when it is needed. N here now she forgot his birthday.

"Ah.. I know You probably forgot it."

She heard the sarcasm in his voice clearly..

"Its not lyk that rey... I.."

He didn't allow her to complete..

"I don't want to speak about this.. That's not the reason why I phoned u.."

"Then why"

"I am gonna celebrate his birthday. I'm having a small party tonight"

"Sorry.. I couldn't rey. I won't be able to cum for the party as I'm.."

" Ohh.. pla will you stop this jumping ahead..n lemme speak"he sighed

"I was going to say that I want kriya to cut the cake.. But I don't know how to convince her.. she would ask many questions n I won't be able to answer her. So how should I convince her..?"

saying this he became silent just to give some tym for her to think. He glanced out of the window of the car where a couple holding hands n giggling with each other, a smile curved on his lips seeing this.

Finally meera spoke out n explained her idea n rey nodded n hung up n started his car to go home.

"Ahhh" rey heard kriya's scream as he entered into the house. He didn't bother to shut the doo n took his jacket off, he just rushed to upstairs to their room. Rey saw kriya standing on the bed with her es closed n both her hands kept on her ears. He went towards her

"What happened? Why are you screaming?"

"COCKROACH!!!!!!!!!"

She said pointing towards a corner. Rey looked towards there n saw a cockroach crawling on the floor, He picked up a piece of paper n went towards the cockroach n picked it with th paper, Then threw it out of the window. Then he turned to kriya's fear stricken face n burst out into laughter. Kriya looked at him with a cute angry wala pout n before she turning to a rani laxmi bhai avtar, he ran from there but she also ran after him n caught him,then hit him.

" Stop it kriya.. stop.. sorry sorry" he apologized while still laughing at her.

"BTW u scared of cockroach. Why?"

She sat on the bed n folded her arms, "Because..they are horrible"

"Horri...ble..." he laughed again but stopped when she glared at him.

"You know what.. u are saw cute when u scared of something.once u saw a mouse in garden n screamed n ran to car.. when I came there to check u I saw u locked in the car" he said while she kept her head on his shoulder n tried tio recall the events.

"Then u kept knocking on the door persuading me to get out of the car"

"yes"he nodded but den froze.. n lift kriya's head up n cupped her face

"What did u just say now?"

Kriya repeated n looked at him confused. Rey stood up

"kriya.. u remember anything else?"

Kriya thought for a while n shook her head

"No.. why?"

"kriya.. This had happened before the accident n now u remember this"

Kriya stood up, "Befor the accident? It means? "

"I don't know bt we have to visit the doctor tomorrow"

Kriya smiled n hugged rey.. Rey responded with a face full of happiness.

"Oh.. I forgot to say u something"

"What?"

"We are going to a party"

"what party?"

" A birthday party" Rey said while taking a suit from the cupboard for him n picked out a dress for kriya n handed to her.

"kiski party?"

"Mera ek friend ki n he is no more"

"Then why this party?"

"He was very close to us n eventhough he is not here with us. I still want to celebrate his birthday. N u r gonna cut the cake"

She looked at him confused.. N he very well knew that what would be the nxt question coming out of her mouth.

"But..."

"Come on kriya.. Now no more questions.. jaldi ready ho jao.."

Saying this he left from there picking up his suit to change. Kriya stand there still confused.. She shook her head n began getting changed. After changing she came infront of the mirror..n looked at herself. Suddenly something came in her mind.. yes A perfect plan to get the key in her hands.. she smiled at herself.. All thanx to the party...
