The first half of this chapter is profoundly surreal and the later half is a bit disturbing in the way how it left so many untold things in its wake.

It was funny how Arnav was finding irony in SRK's famous dialogue.
But his frustation was quite justified. In the pandemonium of the traffic, he found calmness in Khushi's thoughts.

People were celebrating Diwali by lighting crackers everywhere. But in his heart, Khushi's thoughts alone were his personal Diwali.

I loved the lines-
".. her thoughts were like a balm-they had put him out of the extremely foul mood."

and

" He sped towards home, to Khushi."- It was as if Khushi is synonymous to the peacefulness of a home!

Khushi seemed to be in a perpetual dhak-dhak mode, thinking about Arnav! 😉

Her mind was gravitating back to him, no matter what she did.

I loved how Khushi lighted lamps in every nook and corner of the house, as if it was her own home.

Somethings never change. Arnav will never wear a Sherwani or Kurta-Pajama for family functions!

Khushi was seriously thinking what would Arnav think and how would he react after seeing her in the red saree. This fact leaves no room for doubt that she is as crazily in love with Arnav as he is with her!

I loved the line-
" In that little moment, he found his muse."

This surrounded-by-concentric-Diya scene was again a beautifully retold scene by you. 👏

It was like had effectively stopped when Arnav and Khushi looked on, at each other, separated by numerous Diyas.

It was good to see Anjali suggesting a nice idea, and not disturbing them, just for a change.

Arnav holding Khushi's hand and helping her to come out of the circle of Diyas was like he was silently promising her that he would always be there for her.. and the fire in the Diyas was the witness to his silent yet firm promise. Coming out of the numerous circle of Diyas was strangely like going through the seven sacred vows of marriage.

" Why was she taking refuge in his abode?"- because his abode was the only place that could provide her the much needed solace from the monotony and humdrum of the rest of the world! 😉

It was seriously foolish of her to think that Arnav wouldn't find her there!

You know, I really wished them to kiss here, unlike in the show. And I thank you for that!

The moments before the kiss, during the kiss and after the kiss were absolutely breathtaking. 👏 👏

The descriptions of the scenes were Intoxicating.

I loved how Khushi hugged him.

I loved Arnav's thoughtfulness during the Kiss.

I loved how Khushi responded to the kiss in equal frenzy.

And I loved, loved the lines-
" .. taking her breath as his own and filling her with his."

and

" .. and all that fiery chaos underneath her calm skin."

I fell in love all over again with your powerful and intense writing.

But the phone call had to come, or else how can the Diwali night end?

Khushi put behind the insecurities of her past and plunged into "the ocean of love". Arnav unintentionally let her down.. or drown!

It made me sad too to read how her wings that had just begun to fly were cut off!

The last few lines where Arnav's unintended silence broke her heart made me feel like- " Kyun dard hai itna tere ishq mein?"

You need not feel nervous at all. You should rather sit back and enjoy a plate of gulab-jamuns and Kaju Barfis because the update was very, very wonderful! 😊
