What the hell is Star Plus doing??? I'm upset, angry, shocked and disgusted! Pramaad hits Kumud, carries on his affair openly and shamelessly in front of Kumud but instead of making Kumud walk out on him, Star Plus glorified her decision of trying to transform him. Not just that, they even hinted that women who indeed walked out on abusive husbands were the real losers in the long run!

Then they showed Pramaad try to rape his wife and even then, Kumud tried to "understand" him and tried to explain to Saras that it was because of the poison Kalika had filled in him! I'm sorry, I cannot accept Kumud still consider him her husband and I cannot accept that she kept the Teej fast for such a scumbag. And tonight, she once again takes physical abuse from him!

I'm sorry but I find this show completely unethical and socially irresponsible! I'm disgusted that Star Plus would glorify women like Kumud, who may be stuck in similar situations in REAL life! This is not the message that I want young girls to get and Kumud is not the role model I want any woman in this world to follow!

Just saying that we in India, have a rich culture of holding the female power sacred means nothing! Look at how we are treating women in the entertainment media! Where is the respect for a woman? Where is the female power? Or is Star Plus telling us that a woman's power only lies in being a doormat to her husband and suffering in the name of a so called marriage??!!

Where is our social responsibility??!

For starplus it is a business venture - Now tell me - why is such a show so popular in UK? Obviously people following this show in UK enjoy watching women being treated this way. The channel is dishing out what ever keeps its customers glued to it!

Personally I have stopped watching, for like you, I cannot tolerate the glorification of a woman who puts up with such abuse. Right now I read the written updates - however I am losing my patience and may soon even stop doing that!

Good post!

Well yes I hate watching Kumud being abused, I dont watch on tv just online, as and when i can and read updates.

Sometimes sitting watching I shout out "do something", not like they'll hear me or anything, but Kumud is no longer the unmarried Kumud who was residing in her town where everyone knew her. she is now in a different town, different house, different family for that matter. Maybe with Saras there he might just give her the strength she is lacking now to stand up for herself in front of her abusive husband. If she does change him it will be a miracle on its own

I think this story is going somewhere else, I might be wrong but I think Pramad is impotent, if you saw the scene where Pramad & Kalika are having a conversation about the world finding out about something about Pramad & last week his sister says something about bailing him out of jail, there is a big twist in this story waiting to happen...
