UDAY SINGH

This man should be renamed as "Asth" Singh going by this show! 🤢 What was the need to straight away start barking at Shakti and accuse him of trying to shame him and declare that he had ceased to be his son from this moment?! 😲

Shakti had NOT yet said a word to him. Yet he went on and on in his hurt male ego as a father and king!

That simply convinced Shakti that his perception was not wrong! His father did not prefer him. Uske liye koi sthaan nahin hai, isi liye toh baar baar Uday Singh kehta hai, "Aap hamare putr nahin hain"! 😔

Uday Singh keeps all his momentary affection as father in his heart only. But outside he expresses only hatred and disappointment and unwantedness for Shakti.

When he was sarcastically saying he'll see how Shakti manages to live without the royal comforts and all - it just seemed as if the male big fish was putting down the small fish saying he could not survive if not for his shelter.

It looked every bit like a battle of bloated male egos! 🤢

Shakti was initially silent na? So what was the need to provoke the persecution complex of that hormonal teen?! 😲

Shakti only smiled and said he knew his father's heart and palace had no place for him which is why he was keen on death and wanted to break free from this once and for all.

Yes Shakti had said a big thing.

But Uday Singh should have also realised to what extent Shakti might have felt fed up due to which he thought death was better!

After all he is older and ought to be wiser as a father!

No. He got more enraged, disowned him and once again Shakti had to rely on favours from Raawat ji and Pratap for even the consolation of being adopted by Raawat ji instead of being totally thrown out! 😲

Uday Singh did not stop there and added more insult to the injury by rudely saying that he never wanted to see Shakti again and he would meet Raawat ji only as his friend and courtier and NOT as Shakti's father! 😲

What was the need to go on dropping bombs like this?!

Why didn't he think of poor Sajjabai even once? Does a mother have no right over her child? Can a man give away his son without even informing the mother let alone take her consent? Hadh hi hai! 🤢

Why can't he see how attached Pratap is to his brother and how much Pratap wants his family to be united?

Pratap was on verge of breakdown as his efforts to make peace were being flushed down once again! 😭

What did Uday Singh want? That Shakti would come begging to him or tremble when he decided to throw him out?

He never shows outwardly that he values him too. Only shows hate then how does he expect him to bow down to him?

Does he wonder what impact will this have on little Vikram who is like a shadow to his elder brother? How will he be affected?

And pray! What crime had Shakti committed now?!

Sorry to say but Uday Singh initiated all trash - first by calling Shakti to darbar and taunting him publicly for his defeat. And now, again by lashing out at him though he was silent!

He is now going ahead for celebrations of Pratap's coronation as the heir.

Ha! Bakwas! 🤢 Iss faisle pe kaunsa tikega yeh? Bada aaya! 🤢 He will ditch his favorite Pratap also under influence of Bhaatiyani and make Jagmal the king! 😔

He is NOT great. He is just a whimsical egomaniac who FAILED to keep even his family together.

It is HE who with his outburst alienated his son and put his family and kingdom's future in danger.

Boo hoo! Asth Singh! 😔

SHAKTI SINGH

Why did he go to Rana ji's room when his mother had begged him not to go there?! Doesn't he know his father?!

Okay forget him! Why didn't he atleast stay back for the sake of his mother?

Doesn't he realise how much she loves him? How her life breath is within him?

And what was the point of that silence?!

It is true that Udai Singh should not have shamed him or been biased and it is he who should have investigated the crime better instead of going ahead and announcing death sentence.

It is sad Shakti had to rely on Pratap's favours.

But why he is so frustrated and insolent?

Why didn't he cut in and say that he defended him because he could not tolerate his disrespect?

Why doesn't he say he only wants to be loved as a son?

Or he was silent and expressionless earlier then why didn't he stay silent and expressionless even NOW?!

What was the need to smile in sarcasm and provoke the man?! 😲

Why didn't he say, "Father you are misunderstanding me!" - if his intention to stay silent was not to shame Udai Singh?!

And if he has so much ego and is so fiery thanks to his age and hormones then why didn't he say even later that he did not want to be adopted or given away to anyone and that he could survive by himself?!

If you're competing with a man, then be a MAN yourself too!

Why was he silent when Udai Singh agreed to give him to Raawat ji?! 😔

What is the need to be so ziddi always?!

Damn your father! At least think of your mother who you claim to value the most! 😲

US is a bad parent. Shakti is at fault for having too much ego and being too stubborn too!

This clash of egos will be misused to the hilt by Bhaatiyani who will tell Sajjabai that all this was done at Pratap & Raawat's behest by indirect influence of Jaywanta bai. And that she lost her son due to US' Pratap preference! BTW, US readily keeps telling everyone that he does not want to see their faces again - first Jaywanta bai and now Shakti! Abey kis kis ka chehra nahin dekhega?! Ha! 😔

Seriously i'm frustrated by both Shakti and Uday Singh. They really need some lessons on human psychology, atleast after such a mess what was the need of confronting each other, even if shakti came there US should have tried to listen to him first. Didn't he realize his fault? He would have punished shakti for something which is not punishable. All because he was not knowing what all happened because shakti didnt tell him. Couldn't US let shakti speak first?? I watch MP with my family, elders find shakti wrong but i know what he is going through, a child feels the same when in spite of all the qualities he is given such treatment. Btw nice post, your post are always thoughtful

sometimes you have to swallow your ego, and this was one of those times!! But rajputs are not known to do that, especially when in front of their own- My family is friends with a Chauhan family, the girl of the house ran away, and the father got his rifle and threatened to kill the guy, my family was like he is your daughter's husband!
This is why these kings need good ministers!!

Agree with all your points.
Both are equally at fault. But, considering that Shakti is a teenager his father should let go of his ego and understand him. Each child is different and he cannot expect Shakti to be like Pratap.
Dheer Bai is the root cause of all the problems. She used Sajja and Shakti to get rid of Pratap and finally its Shakti who is paying the price.

@All

Thank you for the responses. 😊

When that Asth Singh says, Kitne hathhi hain Kunwar Shakti - I always shoot back saying, "Beta kiska hai?!" šŸ˜†

He is no less whimsical, ziddi and short tempered than his son.

His love came to the fore only when Shakti was about to die.

Otherwise, he does not bother about Shakti.

Would he have accepted Shakti if he had won the gurukul competition? NO. (He was even baffled by his success at Gurukul entrance test! 🤢 )

Would he have believed if Shakti had told him the truth of that incident in the jail? NO. I don't think so. (He believed this only when Raawat ji and Pratap told him.)

He dislikes Shakti and clearly discriminates which is why he was saying "uss Shakti" when the competition for crown prince was on.

And Shakti is not a fool. Kids can sense from a mile how their parents treat them. He knows how his father perceives him.

Coming to Shakti, if he claims to think so much for his mother then why didn't he obey her and stay with her instead of going to that egomaniac's den? Why doesn't he want to stay alive for his mother's sake?

And why didn't he forget comparisons for a while and focus on his work to prove his abilities? He is not as exceptional as Pratap but he is good too!

From modern POV, I am with Shakti and see more of Asth Singh's fault as a biased and cold parent.

But in that era people were expected to not even look at the partriarch and king in his eyes, forget argue or disobey him. Given those times, Shakti was way too rebellious and insolent.

Thank his luck he wasn't subjected to honour killing! šŸ˜†
