I don't like the mockery of marriage. And I think many ppl are sick of this recycled track on all serials, so I hope gk is paying attn and am hoping this is very short lived or so we see "the real story".

I generally hold off my comments to see an episode before I make statements but this Zoyaan track is just unacceptable and there can't be any sane justification for it. What kind of progressive muslim girl is Zoya if she accepts an accidental Nikah to her lover's younger brother, who is in love with her step sister. It looks to me as Incest more than Muqaddar ka khel. It may be Gul's story but she do have some social responsibility to not show such dumbness in Zoya to accept wedding to a man who is brother of her lover in the name of Muquadder - what kind of social message is this? Is she telling to youth that just accept your fate without fighting despite knowing it is not right and against your wishes and happiness? It is not a progressive thought ...it can't be even considered regressive thought ...for me such thing can be accepted only by a dillusional individual who have no idea of purity and dignity of Nikah.

I have nothing more to say ...I just can't sit through this crap...I will just read the updates on IF forum. I refuse to take this immoral insanity of GUL KHAN.

This is a heartwrenching cry from a disgruntled ex QH fan.

In interviews, Gul Khan keeps saying Zoya is progressive, liberal, modern etc. But in the show, Zoya's progressive ideas seems to be limited to wearing jeans and sounding off on women's rights. She is educated and single yet not working. That's not being progressive. Her ideas about life and marriage are hardly progressive. She will accept a marriage to a guy she had no intention to marry, call it destiny and proceed to live in the now, while she, Ayaan, Asad and Humeira are all miserable. Other female leads on telly who wear sarees only are more progressive than Zoya. Perhaps through this track we make actually see the development of the progressive Zoya we were promised.
