BMC cancels Amu's birthday bash
Amrita Arora has decided to postpone the birthday party she had planned at Chunky Pandey's bungalow today.
"The municipal elections are on till February 4, so we won't be able to party till the wee hours of the morning. There's no fun if the party is over by 12.30.
So I decided to bring in my birthday on my set yesterday and celebrate with the unit. It was great fun!"

Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan living together under the same roof? Yes, it's definitely happening! SRK's wax statue will soon be added to the collection at Madame Tussaud's in London.

After her mujra in Goutam Ghose's Yatra, Rekha has now performed the Kahin aar kahin paar number (from the 1954 classic Aar Paar) for the same film. Says Rekha, who plays Lajwanti in the film,
"This has been my most challenging number in recent years. I play a mujra singer who is popular for her classical numbers in the earlier part of the film. But in later years,
she transforms into a modern dancer who wins hearts with popular film numbers. The story takes a dramatic turn when I change from a mujra singer to a film song crooner."
We think Madame Re is out to prove that she can still give our nubile B-Town beauties a run for their money.
We only hope she's not actually singing, "Salaam-a-ishq meri jaan zara kabool kar lo…" to her directors for this indulgence!

It had to happen and we've got to say we're not surprised.
An actor from Nikhil Advani's 'labour' of love says that Salaam-E-Ishq has been trimmed by a modest 20 minutes now that everyone's complaining about the four hours they have to spend in the multiplex to watch the film.
But frankly, we think the excessive length is the least of Advani's problems.
It's sitting through a less-than-satisfying experience that really does you in!

The buzz is that Ram Gopal Varma had gifted Jiah Khan (the lead heroine of Nishabd) a Honda City.
But when we quizzed the filmmaker about it, he laughed off the rumour saying,
"I don't have money to buy myself a car, forget buying one for someone else!"

Carol Gracias was spotted back on the ramp at Sagar Couture's wedding fashion gala at the JW Marriott.
Carol obviously didn't need a break to rest and recuperate after being on the reality show.
There were no telltale signs of fatigue, as she looked resplendent in a shimmering sari. Ravi Kissen would approve.

Good guys Finish First
You know what's heartening? That suddenly the good guys are winning. Despite the tamasha of the neurotic Rakhi, the paranoid Kashmera and the raging Amit, it was the no-nakhra Rahul Roy who walked home with the booty in Bigg Boss.
Although I have to say that I didn't find Roy boy entertaining at all, he stayed above all the play-acting, lying, bitching, pettiness and all the emotional drama that all other inmates indulged in with one eye on the cameras.
Maybe it was just a strategy that Rahul used to beat the others to the winning post, nevertheless it's nice to know that people appreciate the finer qualities of a person. The nice-boy-next-door Anthony who won the MTV Roadies is another refreshing example that good guys don't always finish last.
It's time for Beyonc to change the lyrics to her song, 'Could you be my bad boy?'. Good boys are
suddenly back in demand.
