Wow! Awesome review Ravi,really enjoyed reading it ! 😳 Alaipayuthe is one of favourites,how many ever times,you watch it,it will be like watching for the very first time <3 Madhavan and Shalini have done a wonderful job and this movie is really close to my heart 😳

Maddy Maddy Maddy ☺️ With ze perfect haircut , twinkle in his eyes , the mischief and he was thin then 🤣

Movie had perfect blend of Mani Ratnam's mastery of Romanticism , ARR's songs , PC Sreeeram Visual splendor , Sreekar Prasad's cutting skills ⭐️

My most-est fav song..is Pachai Nirame .(.Though most would say Snegithane) .. I love the way colors and their exquisite wardrobe changes with every changing season .

And Kaadhal Sadugudu ...whole song in reverse frames ..it was stupendous ⭐️

And coming to scenes .

I felt so sad for Shakti's Mama Vivek..poor guy 💔

And the phone tag and people at Kartihks dads house 😆

And then was software Engg and Amrika fad in early 2000s 🤣

And my fav ..That guy who comes to ponnupathify akka but thambi gets an offer for Shakti..He was in all movies later ..as rejected fake accent America Mapillai 🤣

What was his name Karthik ?? He did that Khosla ka Ghosla remake in Tamil and also in that Prasanna Laila movie Kanda Naal Mudhal ?? There too same scenario..

nice movie ...but that madavan is totally missing after this film itself. poor guy no one used him better, after this movie .expect few ones .

shalini -she is a queen with sizzling voice and floating hair ..miss her badly

Its one of my fav movies and Maddy was my first crush😳😆😆. Shalini and Maddy had awesome chemistry. I wish she had one another movie with Maddy before she left acting :(

The story was simple and not to cliched. Songs were too good, esp Snegithene and patchai nerame.

Great review Ravi! I love this film. I can't even count how many times I've seen it and still each time I watch it I enjoy it as if I'm watching for first time...Madhavan and Shalini had great chemistry in this film and the plot itself was lovely. Love, marriage, family...life in general is all explored...thanks for the retro reel and the pm...lol I never knew what this thread was even about before😆 deciding to check it out today...
