MG-The Therapy Room-Ch-1-Pg-3-(20.01.26)

The day of the wedding had arrived and again the main hall had been set up with stage, mandap and tables and chairs for all of the family and friends.
Arnav had asked if the hall would be big enough for the wedding but Akash had only wanted a small wedding with close family and friends nothing grand as did Payal because Akash had asked her before telling Arnav.
Even Anjali had made sure that that is what they both wanted and was satisfied when they both just wanted what they asked for. Anjali knew why Arnav was making sure that Akash wanted only a small wedding because Arnav's wedding was a grand affair and he didn't want it to be seen that as he owned the whole business that he wasn't willing to pay for the wedding. There was one thing Arnav had insisted on was that if Akash and Payal didn't want a grand wedding then the wedding reception had to be a grand affair. That was the only compromise Arnav would make. Anjali loved her brother because of this. Even though he himself had been through a tough time when it came to his family he would do anything for them just see the smile on their faces. Akash may have been a first cousin to the both of them but he was no less than a younger brother to both Arnav and Anjali.
At the gupta house the bride's clothes had arrived. Everyone was already up and busy.
Khushi had been busy getting Aryan ready who was being very fussy at being woken up so early.
Garima was with Payal getting her ready; Shashi was outside with the guests while buaji was just ordering people around.
Soon everyone was ready to head off to the Raizada house as the cars had arrived to pick up everyone.
At the Raizada house the groom's clothes had also been sent.
Anjali had made sure Akash was upstairs so as him and Payal don't come in front of one another.
Soon afterwards the gupta family plus their guests came. Anjali went over to them and took both Khushi who had Aryan with her and Payal to one of the guest rooms to get ready.
Raizada house was soon filling up with people and only a small amount of close business associates.
Akash had been called down first where all his family were waiting.
Soon after Payal had been called to the mandap followed by her parents, buaji and Khushi and Aryan. Akash was trying to get a look at Payal but Anjali and his jijaji were in the way while he had to stay seated. He hated this. Anjali turned to look at Akash who was looking a bit irritated by then making Anjali giggle at his state. Shyam also turned to look at Akash. "Well Akash how does it feel to not to able to see your bride to be" Shyam asked with a teasing look. "Jijaji, di at least let me see" Akash pleaded. "Aww! Someone's getting desperate" Anjali teased getting a huff from Akash. "Anjali bitiya leave him alone. Why are you teasing your brother so much?" nani enquired coming to them. "Naniji this is all in good fun" Shyam said. "I know damadji but not like this. Akash should have been blindfolded so he really couldn't be able to see anything" nani said joining in the teasing. At this Shyam, Anjali, mama and mami who were also there started laughing out loud while Akash just looked shocked at his dadi for suggesting something like this.
Arnav had been watching this scene from a little further away but he couldn't help the little smile that was adorning his face watching his family smiling after such a long time.
Once the Raizada's had there fun with Akash they let him stand to see Payal walk up. Akash just stood there stunned.
Payal was wearing a beautiful red lehenga with heavy gold embroidery. Her dupatta over her head while her head and eyes down due to shyness as she was being led towards the mandap.
Once Payal had got there the rituals stated with them exchanging garlands where Shyam had managed to pick Akash up so Payal couldn't reach him but he let him go Akash lowered his head and Payal placed the garland around him before they both were showered with flowers. They both then went and sat in down on the chairs behind the fire as Anjali came around back to tie the knot. Everyone by then had gone to their seats.
The priest recited all the rituals and one by one as both Payal and Akash fulfilled them. From the kanyadaan, to Akash putting sindoor in Payal's maang, placing the mangalsutra around her neck and finally taking the phere's around the fire.
The marriage finished on a good note.
During the whole ceremony Khushi had Aryan with her the whole time as he was very tired due to being woken up early and had been asleep for most of the marriage before he woke up crying for food.
Rohan had been with his grandparents or playing with other kids at the wedding.
Arnav even though he couldn't understand it had been stealing glances towards Khushi who was totally ignoring him. Either she was busy helping which buaji didn't like one bit but she couldn't say much or she was just looking after Aryan.
After the wedding everyone was sitting down and eating.
One of nani's old friends a Mrs. Kamla Sharma was also at the wedding.
Once she had finished her food she went over to the family to go congratulate them and speak to her friend.
"Hello Devyani" said Kamla as she walked over to Devyani sitting herself down next to her. "Oh Kamla how are you? How is the family? Are you here alone?" Devyani asked as she looked towards her friend. "I am good. The family is good. Actually Viren is over there with my daughter-in-law Nita" Kamal replied as she pointed towards her son and daughter-in-law. Devyani looked towards them and smiled. Kamla loked back at Devyani and congratulated her on her grandson's wedding and what a wonderful ceremony it was. While talking Kamla eyes fell on Khushi but especially at the little boy in her arms. For a split second she thought she was seeing things but no she wasn't. Devyani looked at her friend and let her eyes travel towards where her friend was staring. She smiled when she saw it was Khushi and Aryan. She turned back to look at Kamla and shock her slightly bring her out of her trance. "What's wrong Kamla?" Devyani asked. "That little boy in that girls arms..." Kamla stated. "Yes. That's Aryan with his mother Khushi. Actually she happens to be Payal's younger sister and now she is Akash's sister-in-law" said Devyani answering her friend's unasked questions. "But the little boy in her arms looks an exact replica to your grandson Arnav as I recall seeing him when he was little plus the other day my family and I were going through old photos in where you your whole family are amongst them" as Kamla looked back at Aryan in astonishment. "I know" Devyani said looking thoughtful "but Khushi and Arnav have never met each other. So I don't even know why Aryan looks a lot like Arnav" but neither of the ladies had realised that Arnav was standing just a little further from them and he had heard the entire conversation.
On the mere mention of Aryan and Khushi's name his ears had peaked up to listen but what he heard had shocked him to the core. This made him look and observe Aryan a lot closer. He could see some resemblance but he wasn't entirely sure. He headed off to his bedroom to look for an old album.
Once in his room he went into the walk in wardrobe where at the back end there were a whole load of cupboards. He searched through them until he found an old album full of family photos. He had to turn a couple of pages but he found what he was looking for. Looking at his old baby photo he recalled Aryan and he could clearly see the resemblance. He took the photo of him, placed the album back but stopped in his tracks when he saw his wedding photo in a frame. He took the photo out of the frame as he had a very strange suspicion. He walked out with both photos and headed back to the wedding hall.
Once he had reached there he moved around to a part of the hall where he could notice Khushi and Aryan but nobody could see what he was doing. As he looked carefully at Aryan he looked at both photos and his suspicions were growing stronger but he needed proof and there was only one way of doing that. He knew he had to get a DNA test done of himself against Aryan but there was only one problem as to how he was going to get Aryan alone long enough to either get his saliva or a hair follicle.
Anjali had been looking for Arnav. She walked up to him when she had noticed him. "Oh Chote there you are. What are doing here?" Anjali asked as his watched his expression. Arnav had been startled by his sister. He looked like he had been caught out but he managed to mask it well so as to not look guilty. "Nothing Di. Did you need anything?" Arnav asked. "Chote it is time for the bidaai rituals plus a lot of the guests are starting to leave. I think one or two of your business associates are looking to talk to you" Anjali said looking at her brother. "Ok di. I will go" Arnav said as he left to go.
Unfortunately for Arnav after the bidaai rituals the gupta parivaar (family) had gone home while Arnav had been busy with guests so he never got a chance to do anything.
The bidaai had been done, grah pravesh was performed; the ring game was also played with Payal being declared the winner and soon Anjali and mami together were taking Payal up to her room but first mami wanted Payal to head to her room. Anjali wondered what was going on. Mami led Payal to her room where Payal entered with her mother-in-law and sister-in-law. Mami then headed towards her cupboards where she took out a box. She walked up to Payal and placed it in her hands. Payal looked at the box and then at her mother-in-law. Mami asked Payal to open it. Payal did just that to find an amazing jewellery set of gold and rubies. She looked up at Manorama with curiosity. "This jewellery set has been passed on from mother-in-law to daughter-in-law in this family for generations. Now I am giving this to you and one day you will give it your daughter-in-law" mami said while smiling at Payal. Both Payal and Anjali had tears in their eyes. Payal due to the love she was receiving already from her mother-in-law and Anjali because she had seen her mami always praising and wanting a rich daughter-in-law but today her mami had changed. Anjali had always loved her mami but today her mami had with this gesture in Anjali's eyes she had gained a new respect. Payal thanked her mother-in-law and took her blessings before all three headed towards Payal's new room.
Anjali helped Payal sit on the bed before her and mami left. Akash had come up but he had been stopped by Anjali as it is tradition for a brother to give money to enter into his room. Akash dug deep and gave his di money which she gladly took letting Akash go by into his room.
Akash walked into the room to find Payal sitting on his bed with her ghoonghat (veil) over her head. He walked up to the bed while looking towards Payal who had her head lowered in shyness. Akash sat down in front of Payal, placed his hands on either side of her ghoonghat (veil) and lifted the ghoonghat over her head to look at his beautiful wife. He lifted her chin to so that he could see into her eyes but they were still lowered due to shyness. "Payal are you not even going to look at me?" asked Akash. Payal slowly lifted her lashes and her eyes locked with her husband who was looking at her lovingly. She blushed looking at the intense gaze Akash was giving her making her feel shy again. Akash saw how his wife glowed more due to her shyness. "Payal today is the start of our new lives together. I very much wish to know how you are feeling about everything. I mean did you like how wedding was conducted, how you see what should happen in our future together and most importantly are you happy?" asked a very anxious Akash. Payal looked up at Akash and even though she didn't know why but she could feel herself tearing up as a small smile adorned her face. Akash saw the mixture of emotions going across her face from sad to happy in a spilt second. He placed a kiss on each of her eyes stopping the tears from flowing on her face. "No more tears in these eyes. I just want to see a smile adorning this face forever" as Akash looked back into Payal eyes. Payal just hugged Akash showing him that she was very happy. Akash hugged her back but asked for answers to his questions. Payal backed up to look up towards him. "I am very happy with everything. Akash I cannot thank you or your family for what you did for my sister. I have never seen her so happy in a very long time" Payal said as tears threaten to flow from her eyes. Akash quickly wiped them away before they even touched her cheeks. "No more tears Payal please. As for your sister Khushi she has managed to win my whole family over just as she is but I do have to wonder about Aryan a lot" Akash said without thinking. "What do mean Akash?" asked a confused Payal. Akash realized what he had said. He looked at Payal and thought she is part of his family so she may as well know the truth. He got up walked up to his cupboard where he also had an album full of old family photos. He picked out the one he needed and showed it to Payal. Payal looked at it but still didn't understand. Akash sat next to her. "This is di and bhai's family. That is Aalok phupha (uncle dad's brother-in-law),di and bhai's dad, that is Anju bua (auntie dad's sister) di and bhai's mum, that is a young di standing next to her dad and that is bhai in bua arm's" as Akash pointed towards Arnav who at that time looked no more than two. Payal looked carefully at the photo and was shocked. "Aryan" was the only name that came out of her mouth as the realization hit her. Aryan looked like a younger version to Arnav. She turned to look at Akash in shock. "I know" said Akash "when we all saw Aryan the other day we all thought the same. Payal I have to ask does Khushi know my brother?" "I don't know Akash. Looking at this photo and thinking about Aryan they do look alike but I don't know if Khushi knows Arnavji. From what I have seen I don't think she does but I will ask her if you like" answered Payal honestly. "No. It doesn't matter. I just wondered that's all" as Akash took the photo from Payal's hand and went to put it away.
He came back and sat next to Payal. Payal suddenly felt the closeness between them and was blushing again. Akash traced Payal's cheek with his knuckles very softly as he placed a kiss on her one cheek before moving to other. Payal could feel her heart racing as she closed her eyes feeling her husband close to her. Akash slowly placed his hands on Payal's cheeks, moved his face towards her as her softly placed a kiss on her lips, igniting a fire in the both of them. The kiss started slowly and softly but soon the passion in both took over as Payal responded to Akash, making it easier for Akash to proceed further.
As the night went by the only witness to the passion in the room was the night sky peering through the window at the partition of the curtains as two hearts and two souls became one.
