She tossed herself in the bed, she was sleep derived that night, this place was all new to her, she felt uncomfortable in the cozy bed, as she had already adjusted herself in the hard wooden plank with the cold weather even the air conditioner was of no help to her. Finally kicking her blankets she moved out of the bed, she marched away from her room to the only place that could give peace to her mind, she thanked her stars that the guards were fast asleep and it was easier for her to sneak to the kitchen and then to the garden. She sat on the soft grass filled with dew and watched the sky while eating her half melting chocolate ice cream, she looked up in the sky filled with dusty smoke, today she could not see any stars, in Dehra each night she would talk to the brightest star assuming it her mom but today no stars could be seen as due to the smoky dusty clouds. So she sat dejected and continued to eat the ice cream dishearteningly , she was so amidst in her ice cream she failed to notice her father who had too accompanied her to sit beside the grass, but it was only when one of his palm reached for the ice cream she realized his presence at first it startled her into a shock as she screamed aloud followed by him screaming too, then finally putting a pause to it she asked him

MANYATA: dad what are you doing here at this time?

GIRIRAAJ: I was feeling suffocated in the house so I sneaked here to get some fresh air and cool my nerve and why are you here?

MANYATA; I was not feeling sleepy

Saying this she passed her bowl of ice cream over to him as he took icy cold bites and said to her

GIRIRAAJ: I wish I could always be like this, without any worries, without any status to think off, without any riasaat to rule just is with my little daughter sitting in the grass and eating half melting ice cream

MANYATA: being a royal is curse

GIRIRAAJ: no dear at times it might seems like curse but it is like a boon the god gave us a chance to live our life for the welfare of other people, he gave a chance to be his servants and reach our hands for help to the needy and poor so see being a royal we can help so many people and in spite of all this still we can still sneak to the garden at midnight sit in the garden and eat ice cream

As by the last word she looked at the ice cream bowl to notice her father had finished it all at once she faked an angry face as she said sounding annoyed and really cute

MANYATA: dad that not fair you eat up all my ice cream

GIRIRAAJ: oh really did I

He said as they stood up and the father - daughter chased each other in the entire garden. Their laughter filled in the lonely walls of the palace

He sat there frustrated and angry, he was mad at his sister. This time she had dared to pull her prank too far, as he sat in the rocking chair giving her deadly grazes she shook with fear as she repeated herself for the 50^th time

UNNATI: dada I am sorry to play this prank on you I really did not know this would turn out this way and manyata would be so angry dada please talk to me

UDAY; I will but first you have to clear the mess that you created

UNANTI: yes dada tell me what shall I do?

UDAY: Arrange a date an open air date near the beach, clam peaceful, with red balloons, roses and a dinner table arranged and buy a beautiful decent red grow by tomorrow

UNNATI: ok dada I will do it

UDAY: and do not forget you have to make sure my date agrees to go with me

UNNATI: sure dad so whom do you want as your date for tomorrow evening

UDAY: with M.A.N.Y.A.T.A

UNNATI: dada I cannot do anything in this she will never agree

UDAY: did I hear a no

He gave her one of his most frosty look as she tremble with fear and said

UNNATI: ok dada I will arrange for it

UDAY: Thank chotti you are such a darling now you shall leave

She went their closing the door behind, as a smirk was plastered to his face, he got up from the chair and stood near the window leaning against the realign and looked out as his cheek turned into the shade of pink, he wandered about his princess, how beautiful she looked and her angry face with that cute nose turning red. He smiled although it was a negative point for making his first meet with his princess disastrous yet he somewhere loved the annoying face of hers as he repeated to himself

UDAY: there is misunderstanding, there is fights but I promise princess I will always be by your side my heart has chosen you, my footsteps stop by your side and I will never leave you alone and neither will I let you escape from me. I know it will take time but one fine day you will fall for me princess

As he headed back to the bed and wrapped the comforter above his head, the bed lamp was switched off as his eyes closed and he drowned into his sleep in the dreams of his princess. But his senses was felt by her too, after the great chase as her father tugged her inside she did close her eyes to sleep but only his face flashed into her mind, she opened her eyes and could not end up giving a smile recalling how helpless his face had turned, she enjoyed his helpless face as she mumbled to herself

MANYATA: Stupid Uday couldn't you just call my name

As she closed her eyes with the same smile and slept a peaceful sleep there soul were calm unaware of the turmoil of emotions they were going to face soon
