Honestly ...I was having the same doubt...I would understand if the ban suggested that he has to finish all his pending projects before he signs new ones but his being banned from industry does not make any sense. In real life if someone like SRK was banned in Bollywood, international producers of Indian origin would come calling...which would beat the entire purpose of ban. This is a lucky break/second chance for talented/motivated people to gain foothold in an industry where cost of entry is very high or those who have been sidelined due to internal politics. Besides most movies are backed by businessman, investors, banks and entrepreneurs and not just producers...they would force producers to comply and finish projects rather than focus on playing politics. On a different note Kukuji is rubberhead and does not have any skin in the game so why would other producers listen to him and Amar...they are answerable to their crews and investors.

The whole point for producers is to make money and RK is money minting machine so why would they ban him forever. While I do understand that he needs a lesson in humility and professionalism still somehow the whole situation seems extreme. I am only accepting this very simplistic view of showbiz because it allows CVs to take the story forward and give RK a lesson in real life.

I still do not get why Kukuji is so dead bent on destroying RK. RK is his meal ticket...if the film fails due to politics and RK is banned then he is going to end up on road along with RK. Just like with Dips, this is a case of cutting off your nose to spite the face.

ETA: RK has money and studios, maybe even some equipment courtesy his father. Even if the established crews decide not to work with him for whatever crazy manipulations.. this is RK's chance to create a talented inexpensive new crew with desire to succeed. Imagine a young talented choreographer or musician or director or start up visual effects company who just cannot seem to find a break in industry...now they get launched with RK...if they make it they are set for life. I am actually quite excited about this track...they actually have a great way to explore the industry and internal politics here

On a different note with the globalization...any ban on a talented actor cannot be implemented in entirety. The actor still has the option to pursue television/stage or work in international productions. Unlike what is being shown...I don't think producers can control the technical crews/directors that work behind the scenes.

In a way, the ban in the show is not in entirety. I believe KB said at the time of handing the letter that it is not that RK cannot work but if a producer signs him, it will be at their own risk. The producers are opting to be part of the ban coz along with KB, they want to see RK cut to size. It is illogical that just coz the producer of Dooriyan (AB) wants a ban and can afford to bear losses, the producer of Raaz Ki Baat would want the same as well considering that an outdoor shoot is in the works!

Looks like logic has been suspended a little, in order to make the point that RK has been marginalized. Otherwise they would have been shown working on some kind of a compromise, to minimize damage to all the producers.
