There was a fight between Daaniyaal & Salim for the Mughal throne but it was pretty much indisputed that Salim would win & ascend to the throne as Shahenshaah as he was far more capable & would make a far better Emperor than Daaniyaal who spent most of his time in wine,women & song.. It is a different thing though that Salim did exactly the same thing but he was Emperor anyway.

yeah Ruqayya is hindal mirza' daughter and Salima is Gulrang Brgum's daughter...both are jalal's first cousins. Salima's alliance was fixed by humayun much before his death and the marriage lasted for some 3 yrs till bairam khan's death. Dont go with uncle theory...jalal married his paralel and cross cousins which is incest for us. Atleast Khan is not uncle through blood only by age
