Yes. Double Standards. I mean bhabho was also a bahu once. She would have gone through far worse torture in her time so why the hell does she want Sandy to go through it ?

And if she wanted to treat her bahu like a homebreaker then why did she bring one home ? And get mad about their personal life which is none of her concern.

I hate when wives are treated like free maids and free incubators for their grandchildren.

And she gets mad about her son caring for HIS life. I mean if he does not care for her who will ?The neighbor ? And she fully knew that when she got her son married that he would care for his wife.
Why is she so insecure? Cant a person love all of his family equally ? Just because her son loves his wife does not mean he loves her any less. Why cant she see that and get it through her thick useless skull?

I agree with Umaji that they showed the mirror of Indian Society. I am glad they are showing it as it is making some MILs retrospect as they are seeing their mirror in Bhabo.
Babasa was the only person who was not agitated even when that har was for Sandhya. He was the only one who felt Sooraj has every right to spend money on his wife as he has spent more than enough on his family. I liked the look he gave to every RP member when that gift was given to Chavi.
I also liked the fact that Chavi was very silent, too overwhelmed and too emotional in seeing her brother's love which her father had assured her that she will get. She was genuinly happy and somewhat guilty for judging him wrong.
Now Bhabo will be more angry as her theory is proved wrong. Not only that her son acknowledged his wife's contribution in that purchase. Now she will make hungama that he can withdraw money as his wife tells and spend it, not to care about her. Only intention being hurt Sandhya again and again.

Regarding Chavvi yes she does seem to be changing...let us keep our fingers crossed.

Agreed. In this one film I saw the guy cracks a joke about why most MIL's hate their DIL's. He said that its because the DIL removes the sons chaddi which she spent all her time trying to put it on :P😉

Please dont be offended by the joke. My sense of humor is a bit dirty and its just an attempt to find humor in a situation which makes me want to murder someone.

So when the necklace was for Sandhya: the whole RM became financially unstable and how will RP survive?! 😲
When the necklace was for Chavi: O wait .. there's nothing to worry about! RP is financially sound 😃

I'm pretty sure that's not how math/finance works 😳

I know right. It all comes down to the fact that according to them showing affection for a wife is like the most heinous crime worthy of corporal punishment. =.= 😡

Agree with Umaji.
Most of the indian families are like this.Mostly FILs don't interfere in it. I saw many FILs accept their DILs as their daughter. MILs are doing all these. They got the fear that they will lose their priority in the house. So they dislike DILs. The possessiveness turns to ego at a point. They start to dislike their Son also.
