| Prashant Ranyal, better known as Saahil from Kasamh Se might not be the lead actor in his show, but he is the only one from it who gets to work with Bollywood's lead actresses. He can be seen cosying up to none other than Rani Mukherji in the latest Good Knight Advance commercial on TV. He considers himself lucky to be in the advert because he wasn't very happy with the way his audition went and was very unsure about getting the part. Luckily everything fell into place and he got to share screen space with Rani. Talking about her he says, "Rani is a bundle of talent. She is a thorough professional with a great understanding of the medium. In fact, she is so fast in giving takes that I had to work extra hard to keep pace with her." He also says she is a very nice person to work with and he had a great time shooting for the advert. Rani isn't the only big gun he has worked with though, he was one of the two lucky guys opposite Aishwarya Rai in the Lux Orchid commercial. Talking about working with Ash he says he was quite apprehensive about working with such a big star because he was very raw at the time. Even though Farah Khan who was directing the commercial treated him very well, since he was a newcomer, he says he wasn't entirely comfortable. The model-actor has also done commercials for Grasim Suiting, Nokia and ABN Amro with actor Rahul Bose. Even though he is originally a model who has done his fare share of commercials for big brands, it's his character Saahil in Kasamh Se that got him recognition. "Saahil can't be missed because he is Rano's husband and part of the Walia family. The role has given me a fair bit of name and recognition," he says happily. And he is enjoying the role more ever since his character turned negative. |
