No one to play Ranveers sister

Well, there's been talk in Tinsel Town that Zoya Akhtar has zeroed in on Priyanka Chopra for her next directorial venture, which features Ranveer Singh as the male lead. A source close to the production house tells us that Akhtar wants to cast an A-list actress but is also keen on a fresh cast for this film.

Since Singh is already working with Priyanka Chopra on Yash Raj Films' Gunday, she didn't want to repeat this jodi. Also, Singh is already working with Deepika Padukone in Ram Leela; has worked with Sonakshi Sinha in Lootera; and Anushka Sharma in two films. Besides, Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor have already allotted their dates for other projects in March/April 2014, which is when Akhtar wants to shoot this film.

Thus, Akhtar was left with no A-lister who has not worked with Singh to date! It remains to be seen whether Akhtar manages to get the fresh pairing for her film that she wants or she goes ahead with an actress who can allot her dates when she wants to shoot.
