Sorry for the late reply. I hope you are feeling better. I agree with everything you have said and it's very well put together. This episode was Pas de deux. It had the entree, adagio, two variations (one for each), and coda. The entree was the sword scene. The sword scene and the conclusion was well done. The Adagio will be the Ruqaiya sad attempt at getting the sword out. I cherish the sweet scenes between Jalal and Ruqaiya because they show the gentleness in Jalal. The BG music that comes at that time is so lighthearted and sweet that you can't help but love those few scenes. Now the two variations, one was with Jodha and Rahim and the second was with Jalal and Rahim. Rahim has the magic touch to make everyone feel happy around him.😆 I am glad that Jodha is finally getting her wings back. She is speaking up for herself and defending herself. BTW after jumping in the water, her hair were still dry.😲 I wish I could do that. 😆 I so envy her. Jalal and Rahim scene was great. Jalal seems to be good at connecting the dots. The coda would be in your words, Hamari begum ka dupata. As Jodha starts accusing Jalal of holding her duppatta, Jalal must be thinking "Ab maine kya kiya. Har bar mere piche kyon padi hui hai." 😆 Poor Jalal, he doesn't even do anything and still gets blamed for it. When Jalal said Tum bade hokar mere jaise hi banoge (My thought was that yea he will become a flirt like you 😆)

My dear Navi,

I loved the dissection of the episode so neatly into all the movements of, say, a pas de deux from Swan Lake or perhaps Giselle. The precise and apt apportioning of the various segments is really very imaginative; I would never have thought of it myself!

I never seem to note the background music unless there is something wrong with it- as when it is too loud, You are more perceptive than I am, I must go back and listen to those segments again.

It is not only Jodha's hair - which is wet in the pool when she is cuddling Rahim, and not when she is back on terra firma - but her clothes too seem to be drip dry. She does not seem, for example, to be leaving puddles on Jalal's carpet. Interesting!

No, no, Navi, that is not what Jalal would have been thinking. He would have been delighted at the idea that Jodha felt he had done it, for it implies a measure of mischievous familiarity, and then again, her remonstrance is like that of the gopis with Lord Krishna, rather than real anger. All in all he must have been quite chuffed up, and that shows in his indirect conversation with Jodha via Rahim. As for her, poor girl, she must have wished that the earth would open up and swallow her!

I had to go find what pas de deux was so the idea to put them in segments actually was born from your idea. 😃 The background music that is played between Jalal and Ruqs defines their relationship. When I hear that music, I am reminded of their childhood and the phrase that was said when Ruq was introduced that she was the first and only person who tripped him as a child and sat on top of him. I am reminded of Jalal's patience with her and no matter how arrogant she seems to us but for him she is that little girl.
I am sure Jodha at that time wanted to die from the embarrassment. She seemed very 😳.
