Despite calling herself a good mother and mother in law, she is not yet accepted Anandi as her bahu whole heartedly. If she had, she would not have commented on Anandi / Shiv's case nor she would have talked so cheaply about her future son in law.

She talked so low about Jagadheesh when Sanchi declared she loves his and wanted to marry him. Then she changed her colours and accepted the her daughter's request and went ahead and talked to Singhs about Sanchis love for Jagadhish. they did not even gave them some time to think and asked for their acceptance then and there.

Now I can understand the fear and advise of DS & sumithra to Jagadhish about considering Anandi's future while deciding on Sanchi's ristha. Their fear is coming true with Ira claiming that they are Ladkewales as well...
