Did Ranbir and his 'Besharam' co-star not get along?

With most female A-listers having their kitties full, filmmakers often have to resort to roping in relatively new faces opposite well-known actors.

And perhaps that was one of the reasons why sources say Ranbir Kapoor was hardly friendly towards his co-star Pallavi Sharda while shooting their upcoming film Besharam.

A source says, "Everyone was quite surprised when Pallavi's name was announced to star opposite Ranbir in Abhinav Singh Kashyap's film. They didn't quite get along on the sets. Ranbir would be in his elements during the shoot but appeared distant during his scenes with Pallavi."

RK is usually known to be extremely friendly towards his female co-stars and loves to play pranks. This time however, he preferred to maintain a serious demeanour and didn't bother to interact with Pallavi outside of his shots. When not shooting, both would allegedly retire to their respective corners.

Ranbir, who is currently shooting in Sri Lanka, remained unavailable for comment. Co-producer Himanshu Mehra however says, "Ranbir is a very supporting and encouraging co-star. He is a team player. Pallavi and Ranbir share great chemistry both on screen and off."
