That is where you are mistaken. A couple of phrases here and there in Bengali or other regional languages is fine. But, an entire conversation is extremely difficult for the Mods to monitor as all of us do not understand the language. Most of us know Hindi and English, so we have allowed longer convos and discussions in those languages.
Now, you said you are not being rude. Suppose another member comes and tells me you have said something nasty.
How am I to know what you have said and who is telling the truth?
I hope you understand that this is not a "minority rights" issue, but a matter of just understanding things better

Your group may not have been rude, but I have seen some other Bengalis on another section who have insulted people and mods never checked them because they never understood what they said.
If it was in Hindi or English, action could have been taken sooner without having to wait for a translator.

oh yeah i get u......but as far as we wer informed....we can discuss in bengali.....& wen did we have a long convo....we no PM's for that.....anyway...provide formal evidence that only english & Hindi is allowed....& we shal understand you better........as 4 hindi...whta about the fact that (not just bagali's) some ppl dnt understand some topics....specially when convo's & discussions r going on? ......we can understand phrases & a few words...just like u stated u may understand a few words......
so u do have to be fair.....n cover rules that can apply to both majorities & monorities here....Im fine with english.....but hindi...many are not...(not that we complained b4)....but now that some r complaining about certain languages.....i would like to no what u will do to solve this problem....

everyone...ive pm'd this moderator too.....i will also get in touch with other moderators, including the one who 1st said its ok to write in bengali.
i think its only fair we all get treated the same....this is discrimination to be honest!.....once i get the truthful replies with evidence...ill pm n announce it, if the moderators dnt....
