agree...he is a very calm, composed, rational and sensible person...that is the reason he went and spoke to J...even though his sister's emotions are involved, still he wanted to know that J is also happy with the alliance and not doing it out of some duty...

if J would have said the truth, Shiv would have supported him very well...and yes he always adresses J as aap, but J always says him 'tum' 😆

I liked the way he asked jagya regarding his view about the marriage. He was just straight forward and did not want to know why he was late for the engagement. He is quiet frank and talks upto the point.
A gem of a person who respects men and women equally.

It is as per their nature.. I do not see anything wrong in it. Shiv addresses everybody as 'aap' including anandi 😉 its part of his personality..

exactly that distinguishes jagdish and shiv very well.shiv is also from Avery rich and respectful family like jag but he was never pampered like jagdish and moreover shiv comes from an army background.. he is a complete man 👏

Thank you for this post - this comparison is very interesting for us who don't know Hindi. Could you, please clarify what is the difference between tum and aap? Is it difference between formal and informal speech? And what is badtamezi (is that correct?)?
