Good people are a scary lot, know. They make your head drop , your hind brain bend and your spinal cor make a parabola - such is the weight of a flawless, compassionate , selfless person. Their goodness makes you feel so small, petty and sometimes fills you with an inferiority complex - you are so awed by their blinding thunderstorm of a goodness that somewhere you know - that even though you are an okay person , you have done no conscious evil, you are just not fit to look at that person straight in the eye. Sometimes, too inferior to even breathe in the same precious air as that angel.
Nikhat is that brand of goodness- and not just goodness alone - of courage, bravery , spirit and honour. I can safely say , a feather soft version of Asad. How many girls in this world would have the heart and talent to change a warzone into a peace meet within a snap of a finger? How many girls will have the shockingly unbelievable heart to give the hand of their love in the hand of the one who has broken her heart? Which girl can put a flashbulb smile on her face and light up the world when her own heart is plunged into darkness? How many of us can put such purity into theatrical pretension and yet make it look so real that everyone believes that the pretension is the real thing? How many wronged people have it in them to take the load of sin off the chests of everyone just so that everyone can breathe in peace? ...This is a job befitting angels - aam insaan ki toh reedh ki haddi bhi nahiin hotee, badaa dil honaa toh bahot door ki baat hai.
Tonight, am not going to humiliate Nikhat's courageous heart by feeling sorry for her . I am going to give that woman a standing ovation and believe that one fine day she is going to find a fairytale that we only read about in books. All her years of insults, tears. unloved loneliness and rejection are going to result into a lifetime of happiness. I am going to believe that standing in the line of the Karmic Law in this show, this amazing piece of womanhood and humanity is going to find a fairytale, right in the middle of this ordinary life. And all the forces of universe and karma must have started working in that direction already.
Apart from that , just one reminder to Zoe as i sign off for the day - What were you saying today. Zoe? "Rishtaa tootne ka dukhh hotaa hai", " she will get over it" and all that jazz?Lets do a little flashback. Even your Nikaah broke, and Asad apparently went off with another woman. So, going by your current rose-tinted logic. you should have been gambling in Las Vegas in that month instead of dying a slow death and having renounced the world? Hmmm.?... Chalo ek kaam karo. Write and remember all these pieces of advice and emotional guesswork- we will like to see how you "get over" and " show am a strong girl" when Asad goes flying out of your life, okay?
Zoe is so dripped in her ideal fairytale right now , with Asad right next to her and delivering her the heaven , that she feels every man is Asad and every woman is Zoe. So. all lovers should get together fighting all odds. Stuck in her fuschia pink bubble and safe in Asad's arms. she is not seeing the larger picture or should i say the other side of the picture. Her vision is uni dimensional which says that - Love conquers all. Yes, baby. It does. But only after fighting a battle that is fair...You are taking Nikhat at face value , infact , everything at face value because you are in a happy space today - in your perfect little world. So, its like if am a rose, everyone must be a rose. Life and the functioning of the universe does not work that way, Zoe. It seems like you only missed Asad and forgot to learn the lesson that the Tanveer episode had brought along... so, what should we do now? Hmm, Idea. Do we take Asad away from you once again? Will you get over him and get on with your life?... I mean, rishtaa hi to hai - uske tootne ka dukhh to hotaa hai but am sure you will forget Asad in a few weeks. Hai na?
Being good ain't enough. Princess. Even goodness needs to reach post-graduation. Loving isn't enough either if you cannot set yourself on fire. I guess you will learn it the hard way, my girl. Someday, these rose tinted glasses , this unidimensional vision will melt away... when , what you fear will come true - Asad will be lost in the darkness of your fate. Just saying. I mean, honne ko toh kucch bhi ho saktaa hai na... Kucch bhi?
