MUMBAI: As Prakash Jha€™s €˜Satyagraha€™ is set to release on 30 August, the film maker says that the film is an extension of his 2010 Hit €˜Raajneeti€™.
While €˜Rajneeti€™ was about family betrayal, ego-wars and modern-day politics, €˜Satyagraha€™ too is an extension of the same with a little emphasis of a strong bonding between father and son. €œIt€™s modern-day Rajneeti€, says Prakash Jha
Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn play father and son in the film and €˜Satyagraha€™ is more on relationship than the politics.
Prakash Jha, even before €˜Satyagraha€™ releases has planned a sequel to the unreleased film. It will be more about unconventional politics, he says.
Off late, Prakash Jha has become formulaic in his approach with his films and faced a lot of flak over repetitive narrative.
Will €˜Satyagraha€™ manage to break the formulae, will be seen only once the film releases. Especially if the sequel is being planned way before the film hits theatres!
€˜Satyagraha€™ also stars Amrita Rao, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Manoj Bajpayee, Arjun Rampal in the lead and is slated to release on 30 August.
